Why did you become a journalist?

As a film major, I researched police killings in DFW for a final paper on local issues. I switched to journalism and never looked back.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

Death of the Reverend's Sons: The Police Murder of the Johnson Brothers.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

In media, if you aren't determined to advocate for a victim, you will most likely exploit them. Support your sources accordingly.

What's your favorite drink?

Coffee.
