This game at Nathalia against Northern Angels, was part of a huge event for their club, as they played host to their seniors, juniors, netball and our youth girls all on the one day, at the one venue. Many of our players had the opportunity of extra game time by playing a half with the opposition as they were short of numbers for the day. This always provides for a closely fought contest, as our players always try their best.
It was a scrappy affair in the first quarter with Echuca Green having all the play but failing to convert it into goals. Coach Brett Armstrong implored his players to get back to basics with a team-first attitude. It reaped rewards in the second quarter with captain for the night Manny Bowles marking strongly and kicking truly for goal. Levi Hone showed great form around the ground having a lot of quality possessions.
