How Social Media Mobilized Gen-Z to the Polls This Year
Republicans’ apathy towards young voters is underpinned by an inaccurate catch-all image of a young voter: a college Democrat who only cares about legalizing weed. However, the 2022 midterms proved that young voters come from diverse backgrounds and care about a myriad of issues. Yes, young voters do include college students, but they also include parents, people going into public service, frontline workers, first responders and so much more.
Young People Have Power. Let’s Use It.
When Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin (R) was sworn into office on January 15, 2021, he immediately signed an executive order banning the teaching of “divisive concepts,” including Critical Race Theory (CRT), an academic practice developed by legal scholars to examine the ongoing effects of racism in American policies and institutions.
$6,000 in 6 Days: A Chatbot Story by @DarlingtonKemar
Let’s not waste any time here! I’ve written this article to discuss the tips & tricks that I’ve personally found successful in the monetization of bots. First, I’ll introduce you to a simple onboarding experience that can earn you a few hundred bucks each month! This experience is rather simple to set up & ensures that you leave this article with indisputable value! Next, I’ll dive into the main event that is a bit more complex but insanely lucrative if executed correctly.
Why It’s Important For a Business To Have a Chatbot
Large companies such as United Airlines, Pizza Hut, Denny’s Diner, Focus Features, and Patron, just to name a few, are way ahead in the customer service department. Why? Because they all have chatbots implemented into their social media pages. Have you ever had a problem with a service or a product and ended up contacting the company? Many of us have and chances are that the experience wasn’t pleasant.
Using Twitter’s Direct Message Card to Drive Discovery of Bots
Direct Message experiences are a great way for businesses, brands, and even individuals to engage with customers in a unique way. Over 100 company accounts have used the DM API or a third-party tool to create rich experiences that their customers will enjoy.
Using Iris To Build a Conversational Chatbot for Twitter Direct Messages
Step 1: Once you have created your first Dialogue, its time to start your conversational design. It sounds complicated, but the way that Iris is setup makes it very easy. Step 2: Decide what type of nodes you want to use and where Note: Buttons and Location Nodes are coming soon. Step 3: Create a Welcome Message The Welcome Message is the message that a user will be greeted with when they start a DM conversation with the account. Once you have the WM set, you can add Quick Replies.
Send This Bot A Book’s ISBN And It Will Look It Up – Chatbots Magazine
If you follow me, you know that I like bots and AI. I’ve used bots, I’ve built them. Heck. I’m probably 50% bot by now. In my previous article, I wrote about Proxima’s Iris platform. If you didn’t read it, I suggest you do so now. Basically, Iris is a platform where you can design very intricate conversational experiences for Twitter or Facebook Messenger. I built @LIVEScheduleBot using Iris and people seem to really find it helpful.
Iris: The Future of Conversational AI – Chatbots Magazine
Proxima.io is a platform that brands, developers, and agencies can build conversational experiences for Twitter and Facebook. It’s currently in beta, but companies such as Jack in the Box, MTV, Samsung, and even Twitter have already created campaigns incorporating bots built with Iris. Iris is the Conversational AI part of Proxima. This is where conversational experiences are created.
Should Your Business Have a Chatbot? /@SamSchmir
Chatbots have many purposes and are used by many businesses, but one primary purpose is for customer support. They can replace, or even just partially take the job of a customer service representative. Chatbots have the ability to do almost anything and are not limited to one action at a time. You can build the bot to be able to do multiple things. Sort issues that customers have and move them to the correct area of support. Pass on an in-need customer to a human support agent.
Essential Tips to Keep in Mind When Building a Chatbot
As more businesses and brands accept the idea of chatbots, we see more and more of them actually implementing them on social media. Chatbots can be used for numerous reasons, but one main reason that companies like chatbots is for customer support. Chatbots improve user experiences and add value to the company. When a customer has a positive experience with a company, they will eventually become a loyal customer for, hopefully, years to come.
Embrace the Bots in 2017 or Fail — @stlgotmynikeson —
Take a moment and rewind 10 years… to the moment when iPhones existed but apps did not. This was a time when software development was relegated to the larger enterprise world and distributed in a clunky fashion. Industry changing apps like Uber, Snapchat, Spotify and more were just figments of imagination. When the standardization of apps came with a distribution model we saw people flock to them for their needs.
Observations from a Bot that Chats with 50,000 People a Week by @peter_ryans
That’s right, 50,000 interactions in the first week. A year ago I worked on a project where, in 6 months, our team planned, designed, tested, broke, fixed, broke again, fixed again, and finally deployed a bot that in one week interacted with 50,000 unique users. I won’t get into bot details nor where you can find it, but I will share a couple observations I think can only be made when you look at the data produced from 50,000 chats captured in 7 days.
