Sensex hits fresh all-time high; Nifty above 11,950 - Times of India
NEW DELHI: Equity indices started the week on a positive note with the benchmark BSE sensex rising over 260 points to hit new all-time high. Sensex on Monday jumped 270 points or 0.68 per cent to 40,435 on strong global cues, while the broader NSE Nifty moved 67 points or 0.56 per cent to 11,958. Top gainers in the BSE pack include Tata Steel, Vedanta, Bajaj Finance, ICICI Bank, Tata Motors, SBI and ONGC with their stocks rising as much as 4.32 per cent.
