Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes, I love the analog feel, but am too clumsy to not make mistakes and break out the liquid paper.
How is social media changing news?
Social media changes news to become more immediate and intimate. Unfortunately, this can lead to misinformation and disruption.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
I use various Google tools . Mainly I use Gmail, Google Drive and Google Keep Notes. I also use Corel Paint Shop Pro for photo editing.
What's your favorite social network?
Its a three way tie between Reddit, Instagram and YouTube.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Unfortunately, we didn't have a high-school paper. But I did work on the college paper, working on Tech and Transportation stories.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Ask for feedback, and be open to it. It's important to also keep your confidence high and work to get better in every story.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
Lately? It's any of the Formula One Grand Prix. These were bigger than life with access, helicopters, yachts, parties, and awesome race cars.
