Unlocking Flavin Photoacid Catalysis through Electrophotochemistry Molecular flavins are one of the most versatile photocatalysts. They can coordinate single and multiple electron transfer processes, gift hydrogen atoms, form reversible covalent linkages that support group transfer mechanisms, and impart photonic energy to ground state molecules, priming them for downstream reactions. But one mechanism that has not featured extensively is the ability of flavins to act as photoacids.

RapidScat is a pencil-beam wind scatterometer which operated from September 2014 to August 2016. Mounted aboard the International Space Station (ISS), RapidScat experiences significant altitude and attitude variations over its dataset. These variations need to be properly accounted for to ensure accurate calibration and to produce high resolution scatterometer images. Both the antenna pose and the one-way antenna pattern need to be validated.

A visitation honoring his life will be held at Camden Place in the Chapel on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.Mr. Jones was born in Horry County, South Carolina on August 30, 1927 to the late Samuel Gary Jones, Sr. and Flossie Harrellson Jones. He was the youngest of five children. He served in the U. S. Army and in the Merchant Marines.
