Why You Should Avoid Giving Advice? There are several factors that inhibit the effectiveness of our advice
Internal and external factors severely limit the effectiveness of our advice. Sometime back a young relative (early 30s) told me of his plan to start a Food business. I recall the ease with which I refrained from asking him questions. Questions like, What type of food will you be making? Would you be renting a place or starting from home? The equity market gained around 50 per cent in the past two years and some equity-linked mutual funds also gave similar returns in the same period. Commodities, however, have been lying low for some time now with gold, crude and copper trading hitting four-year lows.
