What does it mean to be a journalist?
To be a journalist is to be an activist. We report not just to accept harsh difficulties about the world and ourselves, but to change these.
Why did you become a journalist?
I became a journalist not to speak for others, but to let others speak for themselves. The masses have a voice and I merely choose to listen.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Pay attention to the world around you: read the news. monitor social media, listen to conversations. There's always a story!
