Assessing Safety Scores of Multimodal Activities to Integrate Safety into Construction Planning
Practical Applications The study represents a significant advancement in addressing critical construction safety and planning gaps. It introduces an approach integrating a quantitative safety risk assessment of different activity modes. The study identifies significant safety risks within each mode of activity execution, quantifies these safety risks, and calculates safety scores.
A Decision Support System for Optimizing Labor Acquisition in Construction
Practical Applications This study contributes to construction labor management by developing a DSS that integrates Revit and Primavera P6, enabling seamless coordination among design, scheduling, and workforce planning. Unlike existing methods, the DSS offers a real-time visual overview of labor needs, equipping project managers and on-site supervisors with a data-driven approach to labor acquisition at every project stage.
Assessing Social Sustainability for Multimodal Activities in Construction: An FAHP-TOPSIS Approach
Practical Applications This study proposes a novel framework that can be used by practitioners to assess the multimodal activities in construction to support the appropriate selection of socially sustainable activity modes (i.e., activity execution methods) at the planning stage. The general framework is flexible and can evaluate any construction activity. However, this paper focused on three subactivities related to RCC work to illustrate the process.
Impact of Construction Leaders’ Emotional Quotient on Project Safety and Quality
Practical Applications Developing and selecting leaders is a crucial task in the construction industry. This study reveals the impact of three EQ dimensions of construction leaders—maturity, competency, and sensitivity—on project safety and quality performance. The study proposes that EQ scores be taken into consideration when developing and choosing construction leaders.
Developing Risk Mitigation Model in Renewable Power Projects: A PLS-SEM Approach
: Journal of Legal Affairs and Dispute Resolution in Engineering and Construction Volume 17, Issue 3 Practical Applications The uniqueness of renewable resources and their project development requires a distinct approach to manage their inherent uncertainties. The study explores these unique uncertainties, appropriate mitigation measures, and their underlying structure.

Investigation into Lead Time of Construction Materials and Influencing Factors
Abstract An appropriate material-management strategy requires estimation of, and classification based on, the lead time of construction materials. To estimate the lead time precisely, the identification of the factors that influence it is essential. Previous studies in material management have not comprehensively examined the factors that influence lead time and have not emphasized the need to classify materials accordingly.
