Sara MacNeil’s Biography
Sara MacNeil worked at the Las Vegas Sun during the pandemic covering Black Lives Matter protests and public education during the coronavirus pandemic. She also worked as a local government reporter at the Montgomery Advertiser/USA Today in Alabama's capital. At the Montgomery Advertiser, she covered the first Black mayor being elected in a city known as being the heart of the civil rights movement. She reported on a local sagging pants ordinance being repealed in Shreveport, Louisiana, as well as other important stories. She's also worked at the Hobbs News Sun, where she covered murder trials and crime. Sara also worked at the Daily Lobo and ABQ Free Press. She's freelanced for PRI's Global Nation, Santa Fe Reporter, NM Fishbowl, NM Golf News, the Bushwick Daily, and the Alibi.
