USPTO to Expedite Patent Issuance | JD Supra

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) announced today that effective May 13, 2025, the time between an Issue Notification and issue date of a U.S. patent will be reduced to about one week. Currently, it takes three weeks or more for the USPTO to issue a U.S. patent after sending an Issue Notification. The USPTO indicated that this change to accelerate patent issuance should result in efficiencies in the patent issuance process.

I have had experiences where I was working on a project and accidentally changed, deleted or moved some content and could not undo the changes because the autosave feature had saved the changes by the time I noticed them. Below I discuss how to use Git to revert back to previous versions of my CapCut projects.

Inventorship: USPTO Guidance on AI-Assisted Inventions Underscores Importance of ‘Human Contributions’ | JD Supra

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) published a Federal Register Notice on Feb. 13, 2024, providing guidance on inventorship for artificial intelligence-assisted inventions. The Guidance applies to all patent applications filed before, on, or after February 13, 2024. The USPTO also is seeking public comments on the Guidance. Natural person required: Inventor or joint inventor must be a natural person who made a significant contribution to the conception of the claimed invention.
