Everything is instant with social media. It's helped disseminate news more quickly, But, it's also something readers can't easily escape.

Why did you become a journalist?
I love writing, and while I very much enjoy the writing process, I really am excited about the art of telling a story through words.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Fashion's why I started my blog, but I'm most proud of my travel stories. I make sure to give my readers what they need for a great vacation.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
The ones that are clear and concise and let me know right away what the goal of the pitch is and how we can work together on a story.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
The one's that have NOTHING to do with what I write about. For example, I never cover men's fashion and I won't be posting about pet food.
What's your favorite drink?
I love a dirty martini with blue cheese olives. If it's made right, there is nothing better!
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Traveling and exploring! Life's one big adventure and the best way to experience it is to see it all.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I'm a sucker for pop culture and never miss a single issue of People magazine.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That any blogger can write about them. While that may seem true, passion and hard work make a huge difference in quality content.
