Quantum entanglement percolation under a realistic restriction
The problem of establishing Bell and Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states between faraway places or distant nodes of a circuit is a difficult and an extremely important one, and a strategy which addresses it is entanglement percolation. We provide a method for attaining the end through a quantum measurement strategy involving three-, two-, and single-qubit measurements on a single-layer honeycomb lattice of partially entangled pure bipartite entangled states.
Incompatibility of local measurements providing an advantage in local quantum state discrimination
The uncertainty principle may be considered as giving rise to the notion of incompatibility of observables, a property that has been carefully analyzed in the literature for single systems. A pack of quantum measurements that cannot be measured simultaneously is said to form a set of incompatible measurements.
Information locking and its resource-efficient extraction
Abstract Locally indistinguishable states are useful to distribute information among spatially separated parties such that the information is locked. This implies that the parties are not able to extract the information completely via local operations and classical communication (LOCC), while it might be possible via LOCC when the parties share entanglement.
Separability and entanglement in superpositions of quantum states
Abstract It is known that by probabilistically mixing an arbitrary pair of pure quantum states, one of which is entangled and the other product, in any bipartite quantum system, one always obtains an entangled state, provided the entangled state of the pair appears with a nonzero probability. On the other hand, if we consider any superposition of the same pair, with a nonzero amplitude for the entangled state of the pair, the output state may not always be entangled.
Unextendible entangled bases and more nonlocality with less entanglement
Abstract We consider a general version of the phenomenon of more nonlocality with less entanglement within the framework of the unambiguous (i.e., conclusive) quantum state discrimination problem under local quantum operations and classical communication. We show that although the phenomenon was obtained before for two qutrits, it can also be observed for two qubits, whereas still being at the single-copy level.
