The Beauty Beat 2026 Is Giving Women of Colour the Luxury Beauty Experience They Deserve
There’s something incredibly powerful about walking into a space and knowing that it has been created with you in mind. Not as an afterthought. Not as an additional shade at the end of a foundation range. Not as a box to tick. But as the main event. For years, women of colour have helped shape the beauty industry, influencing everything from makeup trends and skincare innovations to haircare routines and the products that eventually become global bestsellers.
Adult Breakouts Deserve Better Than Teen-Skin Advice And Sunday Riley’s New Peacekeeper Serum Is Starting a Different Conversation
There’s something particularly frustrating about waking up to a breakout when you’re well past the age of worrying about teenage skin. You’ve invested in good skincare, established a routine that works for you and perhaps even started thinking more seriously about hydration, fine lines and keeping your complexion looking its best. Then, completely uninvited, a spot appears on your chin. Wonderful.

The Notebook Musical Is Coming to London’s West End And We’re Already Feeling Emotional

And if there’s one romantic story that has managed to make generations of audiences laugh, cry and believe in the power of love, it’s The Notebook.
More Than Just Coffee: Inside Southwark’s New Café Making Every Cup Count
London certainly isn’t short of coffee shops. From independent neighbourhood favourites to beautifully designed cafés that make us want to settle in for the afternoon, there’s always somewhere new to discover. But every so often, a coffee shop comes along with a story that makes you look beyond what’s in your cup. And Old Spike Coffee is one of them.
REHAB. × Perrie Sian: The New Haircare Collection Bringing the Ultimate Hair Reset to Your Routine
If there’s one thing we’ve learned about beauty over the years, it’s that great hair doesn’t necessarily begin with a perfect blow-dry or an expensive styling tool. Sometimes, it starts with giving your hair and scalp a little more care. And that’s exactly the thinking behind the latest launch from British beauty brand REHAB.

The UGG Reinvention Nobody Saw Coming: JW Anderson Turns the Classic Boot Into a Loafer
There are some fashion pieces that never really disappear. They simply evolve, finding new ways to remain relevant no matter how many trends come and go. UGG is a perfect example. Once associated primarily with off-duty dressing, airport outfits and cosy winter mornings, the brand has firmly established itself as a contemporary fashion favourite. And just when we thought we’d seen every possible reinvention of its signature footwear, along comes JW Anderson with something rather unexpected.
Free Sandwiches in London? Kerrygold and Chef Lee Tiernan Are Serving Up Something Special in Islington
London’s food scene is never short of exciting collaborations, but every so often, something comes along that makes you want to clear your diary immediately. And this might just be one of them. Irish dairy favourite Kerrygold has teamed up with acclaimed chef Lee Tiernan, the creative force behind London’s much-loved Black Axe Mangal, for an exclusive two-day sandwich takeover in Islington.
And The Award For The Worst Blogger Goes To.... ME! (Life Update)!
It’s shit. Nothing else can be said. I’m the most blatant and transparent person you will ever meet and I am more than able to call myself out. I haven’t been inspired to blog or to write anything for a very long time. I don’t like writing without reason and for a long while I was just spending time, living. When I stopped blogging, I hadn’t preempted that the world would descend into chaos with the Covid 19 outbreak.
Things To Do In South: Visit The New Nando's In Peckham
It’s a new week guys and with a very bad start to the week, I often become deflated and as a result… procrastinate. But, this time things are different. I was angry for a while but then I found myself wanting to productive and creative and get as much done as possible. It’s so easy to allow low moods to knock you down, but no matter what; you have to keep going and keep putting one foot in front of the other. So that’s exactly what I am doing.
5 Reasons Why I Got Rid Of My 6k+ Instagram Account!
I know guys, shock horror! I actually deleted my Instagram account. I had over 6k followers, was receiving free gifts and had ‘influence’. So why did I decided to press that delete button?….. It’s honestly embarrassing that I’ve taken so long to write a new post but to be honest guys, I haven’t had the time to really put finger to keypad and I have been dealing with ‘life’ and everything that comes with it.

You'll Figure It Out
It’s not only a New Year that we are entering, but it’s also a brand new decade and I don’t know about you all but that actually means something to me. I’m 34 now and by the end of the next decade I will be approaching 50 (God willing) and this has put so much into perspective. I decided to sit down and really do some soul searching. I had spent the best part of the last decade trying out different occupations.
Things To Do In South: 1st Time Eating @ Satay Bar, Brixton
I’m a South London gal and I wouldn’t have it any other way. My work has seen me travel all over London, but I always want to be back in South. When I was at college, I spent a LOT of time enjoying the night life in Brixton and had my fair share of cocktails and drinks in a number of bars and clubs. But, if you are a South Londoner or you’re not, but you travel to London you may have heard of Satay Bar, the popular night spot in Brixton.

It's That Time Of The Year- Stepping Out In My Storm Desire 'Christmas' Jumper
It’s not actually a Christmas jumper, but it honestly does look like one right? I recently recorded and uploaded my first fashion haul in months courtesy of Storm Desire who kindly sent me a number of items to show off on camera. Strangely, I do not take to filming like a duck to water in the same way I do shooting fashion pictures. However, my loves over at Storm Desire still wanted to work with me and sent me some pieces over. Typically, I don’t tend to wear red.

Crochet is Back- If you thought that crochet is old-school, think again.
A Summer Throwback Part 1: A Night At Stay City, Hillingdon
I’m finding these dark, cold days to be pretty challenging. I’m struggling to stay motivated in anything and I’m procrastinating a lot! I’ve also been battling with my low blood pressure too and to be honest, my energy levels are non-existent. But I draw strength from looking at images from great summer days that were had this year. To be honest, 2019 wasn’t my year and to be fair I haven’t had a great year since 2013.
I Just Want To Be Me, Authentically Me
Listen guys, I didn’t want to write a rant post but I’ve decided to write it and let rip because honestly, I’m a little tired of the BS. I’m a straight talker and I’m as honest and as transparent as I can be. I hate to lie to my readers, or put out a persona that is not authentic because to be completely real and upfront with you. Fake seems to be winning out here on these Instagram streets. Yes, you read that right.
Things To Do In South: A Spontaneous Dessert Date at Creams, Peckham
This time around, things are better, a lot better. Maybe distance and time apart has made the heart grow fonder but these past few months with my better half have been the best they’ve ever been. Now, I can’t speak for him (for obvious reasons) but I know we are much more spontaneous now. We meet up randomly without much planning and we do our best to fit each other in.
Bumblezest: A Drinks Range To Shout About
I feel a sense of pride typing this. In fact, you may be mistaken to think that with this opening line, these drinks are made by someone I know. However, nothing could be more further from the truth. I just know what it is like to start with an idea and a dream to make it a reality. I did it when I started my magazine In-spire LS in 2010 and I’m doing it again in 2019 with my new baby ‘WomenWhoSlay‘. So much of yourself goes into launching a venture.
34 Fun Facts About Me
Greetings to each and everyone of you who visit my humble home on the web. I’m so happy that my page views and my blog views overall have increased by quite a high margin. It’s mad because I am more aware than most that there are thousands upon thousands of bloggers online but somehow people still return to check out mine so thank you xxx I realised that even though I have shot a ton of looks, many have not made it to my blog and I don’t know why.
Supporting Local Business is VITAL- Get To Know Dollyhouse Clothing
Why are the majority of us so inclined to supported brands and people we do not know but when it comes to people we know, whether it be friends, family or associates, we turn a blind eye? I cannot and will not say I am completely guilt free in this. But, over the last few years I have really made a conscious effort to step up my game and buy from designers and independent brands that are home grown.
Why I Love Gleamin- Face Mask Review
Guys, those who know me personally know that although my skin looks great in most of my photos. My skin has for a big part of my life has been a problem area for me. I had combination skin (a mixture of oily and dry skin) in my my teens and early twenties, but this soon progressed into oily skin and I would get breakouts every other week. I had hoped that when I moved into my thirties I would put my trouble skin behind me.
Today Sucks But My Outfit Doesn't!- Slaying in Snakeprint
I ain’t going to lie guys, I wasn’t going to blog today. It’s been a Manic Monday and I quite frankly want to ‘shoot the whole day down’!. Today has been stressful! as it seems like everything that could go wrong, undoubtedly did. I have been trying to talk myself out of this funk, but to be honest, I can’t and I am not really in the mood to sugar coat it, this day sucks and not much has been able to redeem it. You know those days that are just not going to make a turnaround. I’ve had one.
Afternoon Tea at The Corus Hotel & Hilton Olympia
You honestly do not have to spend an arm and a leg to treat yourself to some luxury living. Afternoon Tea has always represented something more than just sipping tea and eating scones for me. The act of going to a luxurious hotel in the city and taking in the beautiful decor and interiors as well as immersing yourself in something you I wouldn’t do everyday in many ways keeps me motivated to keep working and striving for more.
Wowed by The OWOW Kit
I know the title may seem a little extreme but honestly, this product left me astonished. I will say this honestly guys that I NEVER endorse any product without using it myself and I share honest opinions only. I never set out to mislead or oversell any product, just because it has been gifted to me. More than anything, apart from coming here to be entertained (I hope).
So Where Have I Been???
I’m not even going to start this by saying… sorry guys… you know things have been busy and I have had a lot going on… blah blah blah because the truth is I was contemplating deleting this blog and just not blogging anymore. With the recent articles I have read stating that blogging in many ways is a dead medium; as visuals are now ahead of the game. I haven’t felt motivated or inspired to hang out in my online sanctuary. So much has been happening and it’s been difficult to convey that on here.
A Change of Perspective on My Blogging Journey
Guys, I’m not even going to apologise for the lack of posts on here. Let’s just say that I’ve been pretty uninspired. I have tried so hard to turn blogging into something more than just a passion project for so long that somewhere along the line it lost its spark. No matter how hard I have tried to shoot fashion content weekly, collaborate with brands, share more about myself. It’s not paid off and brand after brand want to ask me to promote things for free because I’m not BIG enough.
Stepping Back From Socials and the Fake ISH!
Anyone else getting a little tired of sharing every little aspect of their lives on social media. I for one am getting annoyed by the whole thing. I don’t know when or how it happened exactly but perhaps it was speaking with friends who are not on social media and getting the feeling that they were that much more content and relaxed in life than I was.
Fighting Back In Red
Guys, I’m going to get straight to the point. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you will know that I have been dealing with harassment from my neighbour and previous her partner for 4 years. I have wrestled with the idea of keeping this matter private. But, I recognise now more than ever that when you have built up a platform over a number of years you shouldn’t have to remain silent on issues that have affected your life.
My Collaboration With Storm Desire
Hello guys, I’m getting pretty tired of apologising for my absence so let me not even begin to start this post with one. Let’s just say, my life has been crazy the past few months. I have wanted to share the ins and outs with you all for a while, but have decided to save this for its own dedicated post. Until then, I really wanted to ensure I do my best to keep up with my fashion and beauty content. Even as a small blogger (In a rather big pond may I add).
Welcome To My Workspace
Hey guys, this has been way overdue, but I wanted to do something a little different to the endless fashion posts. Now don’t get me wrong, you know I love fashion and personal style posts but there has been a lot taking place in my personal life that has made me feel uninspired in the fashion front so I wanted to go back, review and re-establish all the other content I wanted to share with you and a visual tour of my office space was something that many asked for via my Instagram.
Why You Need To Rock Snakeprint and Mustard
Hey guys, happy Wednesday to you all. As promised, I’m trying to ensure I hang out here a lot more and to not only post on Instagram. Although I am not by any means a slave to fashion trends, I have acquired an intense passion for snake print. This print in particular screams expense and class and teamed with mustard, the two are particularly complimentary.
My Collaboration With Katch Me Clothing
I love me some tassels and have a number of outfits ranging from jackets, trousers, tops, skirts, dresses and bags with tassels on them. Tassels never go out of fashion and can easily dress up any outfit. After being contacted by the online fashion brand Katch Me I was given the opportunity to request an outfit from their website to style and showcase on my Instagram page.
3 Ways To LOOK More Expensive
Hey my lovelies, as mentioned in my last few posts, I am currently playing catch up with my sashashantel.com. At this very moment, I had plans to shoot 4 new looks for the coming week. But as I type, there is a major storm brewing and if I step outside, this wind will certainly snatch my wig off! (No JOKE!). So, while going over a few looks shot the last fortnight. One of the comments that kept being left on these images was how expensive my outfits looked.
Collaboration With Adexe Watches
I love watches as they are the final piece to creating the perfect outfit. However, I must admit, the last time I wore a watch was a few months ago. The main reason? does anyone else notice how quickly watch batteries die now? They barely last a few weeks. However, when I was given the opportunity to collaborate with Adexe Watches I jumped at the chance. The major selling factor for me is the quality and craftmanship of their watches.
What I Wore To Fashion Week
Hi my lovelies, forgive me. The backlog of blog posts has finally got on top of me! I have over 10 posts pending and although this is exciting in the sense that I have so much to share with you guys. At the same time, trying to balance all of my ventures at the same time has been exhausting. Does anyone else wish they had the ability to get everything done by the time they said they would? This is definitely something I’m working on.
So I Went To Fashion Week…. @Freemasons Hall
Well, I actually went to one day of it. But, listen guys; this is no mean feat for someone who only started taking my fashion blogging serious in 2016. Yes, I know many of you who visit this blog are long time supporters. Some of your go as far back as MYSPACE. (Who remembers the ‘Top Friends List?’). So, you would know that I’ve been blogging since 2007 with my motivational blog ‘Words, Thoughts and Reflections’. However, so much has changed since then.
#PlacesToEat | Cabana @ 02
You know when you walk past a place numerous times with the intention of going inside but never quite make it inside. That is the story of my life to be fair but after meeting up with a friend and both feeling a little peckish; we ventured inside. If you know me, you’ll know that even before I look at the menu; I will look at the venue. I’m a sucker for presentation and I love vibrancy and different coloured walls, lights etc.
Weekview Business Planner 2019 Review
Ever since I decided to work with a more focused discipline on my blog, things have really gone up a notch. There was a time when I used to sit and imagine brands sending me products to review without my having to ask for them or putting in a request with their PR. I enjoyed the process sometimes, but most of the time; I wanted my work to speak for itself and now fast forward to 2019, I’m getting more and more brands contacting me to collaborate.
Taking It Back In Time In Primark
The moment I saw this dress hanging up in Primark, I knew I was onto a winner. The first feature that struck me was how expensive it looked. The material and the overall design made the dress work perfectly and the colour was complimentary to my skin tone. I had styled it before I tried it on. For the most part, I plan an outfit in bed before I awake and then I see whether it works out as I had imagined or not.
The Blues Kitchen - Acre Lane, Brixton
As most of you know, particularly if you are a frequent visitor to my site; I love my food. But, to be honest; I’ve been eating far too much of what I like the look off recently and by not exercising any discretion over my food choices, I have undoubtedly put on weight! Nonetheless, that really hasn’t stopped me taking up any opportunity to eat out and this post is well and truly overdue.
The Neon Trend - Sasha Shantel
I’ve always said that I don’t like to follow trends and instead tend to wear whatever I like at the time. However, from the moment I saw the neon trend on the international catwalks I knew it was a look that I had to get into. Neon is the perfect colour as it can be successfully teamed with a number of colour and style variations. I noted that most bloggers were wearing neon with black leather or PVC pants and to be honest; although I would usually go for this option too.
#MyLookMyWay | Quitting Is Not An Option
I don’t know about any of you but I am TIRED of working for people. I’m more determined than ever to create alternative means of making money and I really want to make blogging and personal development i.e my life coaching and my female empowerment brand. I have a passion for helping people and to make a life for myself doing a combination of all these things would without a shadow of a doubt be a dream come true. Because, let me be completely honest with you. I hate working for people.
