Bilal SALEEM

Bilal Saleem—professionally known as SB Qureshii—is a Pakistan-based journalist, media researcher, GIS mapping specialist, and digital media strategist whose work integrates investigative journalism, quantitative media research, and spatial data analysis. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Journalism at the Centre for Excellence in Journalism (CEJ), Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi, an internationally collaborative journalism program established in partnership with the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) and Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, with support from the U.S. Department of State. He also holds an MSc in Mass Communication from the University of the Punjab, Lahore.

Bilal's research interests include media representation, journalism ethics, digital journalism, climate change communication, public health communication, human rights, GIS-based spatial analysis, and data-driven journalism. His scholarly work emphasizes quantitative content analysis, open research practices, and the integration of geographic information systems (GIS) into journalism and public policy.

Professionally, Bilal serves as an SEO Executive at Qovex Studio and Editor of LEDE Times Digital News Pakistan. He has more than five years of experience in journalism and digital media, including previous service as a Social Media Coordinator at the Nawa-i-Waqt Media Group. His research outputs and datasets are openly available through platforms including SSRN, Zenodo, ORCID, and GitHub, reflecting his commitment to transparent, reproducible, and publicly accessible scholarship.
