Social media allows us to get the word out faster, and to a wider, more diverse audience. It also allows for instantaneous feedback.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Twitter is a big part of my day-to-day. It's where I find industry trends and sources.
What's your favorite social network?
TikTok - I love that it's entertaining, informative, and gives you the scoop in 3 minutes or less.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Six weeks before the month of the print magazine (i.e. if you want to be in the May issue, e-mail me around March 15th).
What's your favorite drink?
Water.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
Reader's Digest. My grandmother got me a subscription when I was a child, and I've continued to receive it as an adult.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
The most common misperception is that professional audiovisual technology is the same as consumer technology.
