Did Apple rip off OK Go with its newest ad?

New York Post — The buzz going around the tech world right now might be Apple's recently unveiled products - the Apple Watch and the iPhone 6 - but they might have legal troubles on the horizon. OK Go, the band popular for its innovative viral music videos, told Bloomberg BusinessWeek the gadget company might have stolen their concept for an advertisement. One of the band's latest videos for the song "The Writing's On the Wall" shares some similarities with a video advertisement called "Perspective" released by Apple yesterday. Both videos use optical illusions to spell out words in their videos.

Pirates notch MLB's first replay walk-off victory

New York Post — The celebration in Pittsburgh took a little bit longer than it usually does following a walk-off win, but the wait was well worth it - for the Pirates, at least. Pittsburgh became the first MLB team to earn a walk-off win this season with the help of a video replay that gave them the victory-securing run. With two outs in the bottoms of the ninth inning and the scored tied at 1 with the San Francisco Giants, Pirates outfield Sterling Marte drove a fastball into deep right field.

New York Post — Get out the "We Like Ike" pins in Pittsburgh. Former Mets first baseman Ike Davis, who was traded to the Pirates last week, clobbered a broken-bat grand slam on Monday night against the Reds, helping lead the Bucs to a 6-5 victory. With the bases loaded in the fourth inning and the Pirates down 2-0, Davis hammered the first pitch from Reds starting pitcher Mike Leake into the right field stands at PNC Park. The much-maligned Davis was off to a good start with his new club before the slam, batting .333 through his first two games in Pittsburgh after struggling with a .242 average for Mets.

Milwaukee Brewers backup catcher Martin Maldonado put his name into the collective memories of baseball fans everywhere last night after literally knocking the cover off a grounder to third. Maldonado was at bat in the sixth inning with a runner on when he smacked a ground ball to Pittsburgh Pirates third baseman Pedro Alvarez. As the ball bounced towards Alvarez, the cover of the ball visibly came loose.
