Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes. And in fact, there's an old "McCool" brand typewriter I'd love to acquire some day.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
No idea. But I do enjoy writing. Ironic since I flunked out of college as an English Lit major. At least I think that's what irony means.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Frequently and with check in hand.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
I love using google docs. I also use the notes app on my apple products to capture ideas.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Nope. But I was on the yearbook staff my senior year. I'm over 50, I'm not sure what we did that year... but a yearbook did get published.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Write more. But read even more than you write.

When you need a really good article. ;)

Morning: Coffee with butter and vanilla protein powder. Afternoon: Coca-Cola. Evening: Bourbon, neat.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I'm more of a non-fiction book reader. Anything in the realms of sales, marketing, personal development, brain science, & law of attraction.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That I have one. I'm more of a coach who enjoys observing and writing about these funny creatures we call humans.
