Why did you become a journalist?

I became a journalist because I couldn't do anything else without wishing I was a journalist.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I worked as a photographer at my high school newspaper.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

I'm proud of my coverage of flooding after Hurricane Irma because I used my kayak to get me access to flooded neighborhoods.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Work on personal projects to get the clients you desire.

When's the best time to pitch you?

9 a.m. - 10 p.m.
