Build data centers, beat China, but don’t steamroll America’s communities
Just a few years ago, most Americans had barely heard the term “artificial intelligence.” Today, it is already changing daily life. An AI model can spot the signs of pancreatic cancer up to three years earlier than conventional methods. An AI sepsis-alert system cleared by the Food and Drug Administration is cutting hospital deaths by nearly one-fifth.

OP-ED | Ensuring America’s airspace remains the safest in the world
With the summer travel season well underway, people are experiencing delays, cancellations, and chaotic last-minute changes that make their air travel more difficult. Even more concerning, this spring, the Federal Aviation Administration released an alarming Aviation Safety Call to Action over the unusually high volume of near-miss events when aircraft narrowly avoided an accident.
Arizona Voices: Sinema puts support behind NAH's plan for new campus
Arizonans agree that reliable access to health care is essential for the health and wellbeing of our communities. We can also agree that rural Arizonans should not have to travel far from their communities for medical care – including primary care, wellness visits, and even highly complex care.
Sen. Sinema Holds Roundtable with Border Non-Profits
TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema held a roundtable with Arizona non-profit organizations to discuss and exchange ideas about improving the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP). The EFSP was originally developed to help non-profits deliver services to Arizonans experiencing homelessness but was expanded to include migrant services.
Senator Joe Manchin’s office will be the destination of a motorcade lead by the Poor People’s Campaign
Senators Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin stand at the center of a fierce campaign against voting rights. As a result of their refusal to end filibustering and advance federal voting rights legislation in the Senate, they have been targeted by members of their own political party and voting rights advocacy organizations. Several organizations are engaged in the effort to persuade Manchin and Sinema to change their minds, such as The Poor People’s Campaign, which is led by Reverend Dr. William J.
EDITORIAL: Sinema: Here’s help during virus
When Martha from Green Valley contacted my office, she hadn’t yet received her economic relief payment promised by the federal government. Confusing announcements from government agencies had left her unsure what to do. Stanley and Leslie from Tucson also contacted my team with similar challenges, facing delays and mismanagement while trying to access critical support.
Guest Column: Sinema: 5 things the next coronavirus stimulus bill must do for Arizona
It’s a difficult time for Arizonans and people across the country. Many of us are separated from family, friends, and loved ones. Many more are facing financial challenges or are out of work as employers temporarily close. Staying at home and social distancing are necessary to prevent the coronavirus outbreak from further overwhelming our hospitals and health workers, endangering the lives of hundreds of thousands more Americans than are already at risk.
Sen. Kyrsten Sinema: Working across the aisle to make health care more affordable
Too often, daily controversies covered on cable television or debated on Twitter fail to reflect issues that matter to everyday families. When I hear from Arizonans across our state, they want to discuss how to expand job opportunities, the importance of keeping our communities safe, and – most often – the need to make health care affordable. Arizonans deserve leaders who break through gridlock and get things done, which is why I reject Washington distractions and partisanship.
We need to prepare for internet of the future. Here's how Congress can help.
Sen. Roger Wicker and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema You have probably seen an error 508 message on the internet. When browsing a website or clicking a link, these 508 messages pop up when you cannot get where you want to go. It seems Congress hits an error 508 message every time it tries to address net neutrality. Common-sense proposals for a compromise on net neutrality to protect Americans are met with fear mongering, political rhetoric and demands for ideological purity — on both sides of the aisle.
Commentary: Senate bill brings awareness to glioblastoma impact
Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most common and deadliest malignant brain tumor in adults, with just a 5.6% five-year relative survival rate. There are 15,000 Americans who die from GBM every year. In addition to loss of life, GBM can destroy one’s sense of self and can trigger a host of neurological health problems. Currently, there are no prevention mechanisms for GBM and no early detection protocols.
Sens. Kennedy and Sinema: Stop silencing sexual harassment victims
The #MeToo movement shined a light on sexual assault, harassment, and discrimination in Hollywood, the halls of Congress, workplaces, and college campuses. The movement has empowered countless survivors and provided opportunities for them to hold perpetrators accountable. But more must be done. That is why we introduced the bipartisan Stop Silencing Victims Act.
