ABSTRACT This study examines the cointegration between WTI and Brent crude oil prices across spot and futures markets over 1993–2022. We analyse four price pairs to assess market integration and price discovery, while developing a cointegration parity consistency framework linking the estimated bivariate cointegration structures across interconnected markets. We find strong evidence of a stable long-run equilibrium in spot markets, confirming tight global integration.
