Seref Isler’s Biography

Since 1998, broadcasting has been my life.

I have produced the news for radio, television, online and social media for numerous international outlets in UK, Australia, Singapore and Turkey.

As a senior journalist for [BBC World News] (http://news.bbc.co.uk) I led a group of 5 journalists as they produce segments, graphics and guests which I then placed in a television bulletin and output every hour.

For [CNBC] (http://www.cnbc.com) in Singapore, I worked with a team that produced 3-hours of programming, designing and operating its graphics, in-studio video wall, and lower third elements while writing and pitching segments on a daily basis.

My job has required me to make quick editorial and technical decisions under pressure in a television gallery. I have successfully planned and line-produced broadcasts such as the Trump – Kim summit (2018), the Royal Wedding (2018), and Turkish elections (2016). I have been deployed as a field producer to hostile environments to arrange the broadcast of live-and-continuous hourly bulletins on the Palu earthquake (2018), Turkish coup attempt (2016) and Brexit referendum aftermath in Brussels (2016).

As I have also worked for [SBS Australia] (http://www.sbs.com.au) in its radio and online sections; I have a wide understanding of cross-media production for multi-outlet broadcast operations. My university degree includes media arts alongside journalism. For this reason, I can create visually engaging products with multimedia tools such as Adobe Premiere and Final Cut.

I believe very strongly in loyalty and teamwork: I will go the extra mile for my team to achieve the perfect segment for our audience. I have always displayed an enthusiastic, friendly and cooperative team-work attitude, taking the time to help my colleagues in achieving the broadcast we planned.
