Uninstalling Apps Unlikely To Create Ripples In China
Social media has been overflowing with memes ever since the Indian government decided to ban as many as 59 apps of Chinese origin. The app ban was implemented in response to the violent clashes between the two countries in the Union Territory of Ladakh. The list of banned Chinese apps contains a few famous names including the likes of WeChat, TikTok, Club Factory and UC Browser. Why Were These Apps Banned in India?
Not Just Colleges, Hazing Happens In Workplaces And Relationships Too
I’ve wanted to write about this topic for quite some time now, mostly because I’ve come across hazing in all major aspects of my life, and I refuse to be a part of it—neither the victim nor the perpetrator. What Do I Mean When I Use The Word ‘Hazing’? Wikipedia says that it “refers to any activity expected of someone in joining or participating in a group that humiliates, degrades, abuses, or endangers them regardless of a person’s willingness to participate.” In simple words, it means ragging.
Why Students Must Get Involved In Social Work At A Young Age
Why students must get involved in social work at a young age – to empower and educate other children. Have you ever experienced giving a little child a chocolate bar and their face lightening up with the brightest smile as they give you the warmest hug? Isn’t it the most gratifying feeling? Community service teaches us to take things for granted and gives us the opportunity to do our part in helping those in need.
“Marriage Is A Symbol Of Love And Trust. Let It Be.”
The society has deep faith in both religion and marriage. Moreover, religion is a symbol of life and humanity in India, so marriage is said to be the paramount practice of love, where families are connected. This could be the reason why MP Hukmichand ji, in his debate in the Parliament, said that if an inter-caste Marriage Bill is passed, then casteism will be destroyed. Marriage is a bond of love, between two individual and two families. How could it become a subject of terror?
Is Globalisation A Bane Or A Boon To India’s Healthcare Sector?
The success of a socio-economic transformation in any country should be evaluated in terms of benefits and opportunities made available to an ordinary individual. For an individual, a healthy and secured life – free from illness and ailments and a reasonable lifespan — remains a vital consideration. Good health benefits an individual by providing an opportunity to develop abilities required to achieve personal goals.
The Media’s Doings Doesn’t Seem To Reflect The Duty They Should Uphold
The country’s GDP declined by 23.9% India’s India’s COVID-19 tally crosses 67 Lakh cases. The government had suspended Question Hour in the Parliament session, and justified it by saying that it wasn’t the first time it had happened. But, our media has nothing to do with these. They seem more interested in how Taimur walks, and what Rhea is being fed in jail.
“Indian Media Has Become A Cacophony Of Opinionated Anchors And Their Selected Guests”
About 25 years ago, the Indian media was very different. It was mostly print media, as the internet barely existed, and there were only one or two broadcast channels. Journalists were highly respected, and there were hardly any attempts to control or sabotage the truth. I used to write from Haryana for an English daily, and politicians of all hues treated me with the greatest courtesy. There was no paid media.
“See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil”
The phrase “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil” seems to have a different meaning in context to India’s present conditions and environment. Blind yourself to the horrifying pictures which circulate in media, lend a deaf ear to the disturbing stories and quarantine your tongue for it won’t matter. Let your elder sister, who looks wheatish brown, faint in her wedding while you have fair skin.
Intolerance Is The Reason For Atrocities In Our Country
I am a Hindu and my husband is a Muslim. We both are living happily together and we have not changed our religions. We believe in each-others religious beliefs and respect the culture. Although my husband is a low caste Muslim boy, my parents accept him as a human first. But unfortunately, we live in a left-wing and right-wing society, or I can state a company where we regularly see many communal riots.
Have You Ever Wondered Why Does A Particular News Channel Get The Highest TRP?
Media is considered to be the fourth pillar of democracy after the legislature, executive, and the judiciary. The duty of the media is to create pathways for raising people’s voice, and giving a voice to the voiceless. Media has such strong power and influence to change people’s perception, by continuously striking and shaping one’s opinion. It feeds you not just what you must think of, but also, how you must think of it. Representational image.
