To move people with stories of people moving.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
That three-hour interview I did with a Palestinian man who was wrongfully imprisoned for seven years and have yet to transcribe.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Don't listen to the way journalism school tries to mold your writing. Find your voice, and you'll find an outlet.
When's the best time to pitch you?
As an editor, I like to work together develop stories when they're still in the idea phase.
