Onion prices are making Amdavadis cry as its price has soared more than three times in just two months. Though occasional hike in onion prices has become a common phenomenon since 2014, the pungent bulb which used to be sold for Rs 20 per kg two months ago now costs Rs 70 per kg in the city. Everyone from home-makers to vegetable sellers to restaurants have been hit by the hike in prices.
