Using Board Games to Strengthen Literacy Skills
Vocabulary studies are essential for building students’ confidence in reading, writing, and speaking. Traditional activities often rely on drill and memorization, which can lead to low engagement. This year, in my grade four Dual Language classroom, I introduced an innovative approach by encouraging students to create their own board games to learn new vocabulary and Hanzi (Chinese characters).

How Generative AI Tools Assist With Lesson Planning
Since the release of ChatGPT, as educators we’ve faced lots of challenges, but this time is also full of possibilities. Since more educational artificial intelligence (AI) platforms and tools have been introduced, I’ve assessed a few AI tools with my colleagues and reflected on how they would impact our teaching, and I would like to share the experience of using MagicSchool and other AI tools in preparation for an elementary social studies class.

A Collaborative Strategy to Increase Reading Comprehension in World Language Classes
A few years ago, I learned about a strategy called Quote, Quote, Mingle from our middle school instructional coach at a professional development session. This strategy helps students gain knowledge by having conversations with their peers based on what they’ve read. The more people you talk to, the more information you get to help you develop a fuller picture of the topic.

GmTNRP1, associated with rhizobial type‐III effector NopT, regulates nitrogenase activity in the nodules of soybean (Glycine max)
Identification of candidate genes in the QTL To better identify the candidate genes of regulating nitrogen fixation associated with the T3Es in the nodules, RNA-seq was performed in SN14 nodules inoculated with HH103 or TtsI mutant. Based on the RNA-seq data, 699 DEGs were identified between TtsI-mutant-inoculated and HH103-inoculated nodules, including 467 downregulated and 232 upregulated genes (Figure 2a, Figure ).

5 Things I Learned Working as a New Instructional Coach
Last year, I started a new role as an instructional coach at a new school. Previously, I was an innovation coach focused on educational technology integration in teaching and learning. After a short time on my new job, I picked up some insights that may help others who are new to the job to be successful. 5 Tips From One New instructional coach to another 1. Instructional coaches should have resourceful ideas but shouldn’t be seen as resource providers.

Analyte Regeneration Fluorescent Probes for Formaldehyde Enabled by Regiospecific Formaldehyde-Induced Intramolecularity
Abstract An important challenge for reaction-based fluorescent probes is that they generally require analyte consumption for fluorescence signal generation, thus creating potential perturbation of native analyte homeostasis or change of local concentrations. Herein, we reported two formaldehyde (FA) regeneration fluorescent probes, NAP-FAP-1 and NAP-FAP-2.
