Development of PCL-Silk Fibroin-Based Wound Dressings Incorporated with Green-Synthesized Silver Nanoparticles
1 Introduction Wound healing is a complicated process that requires innovative approaches to enhance recovery and reduce complications [1]. Traditional wound care methods, including gauze dressings and hydrogels, have demonstrated varying degrees of effectiveness. However, the ongoing demand for improved wound healing strategies has led to the integration of advanced technologies, such as nanotechnology [2].
Comparing UV-enhanced and direct reduction strategies for CD8⁺ T-cell electrochemical detection
Abstract A novel electrochemical biosensor was developed for accurate and sensitive detection of CD8+ T cells, as a key biomarker in clinical and immunological analysis. A screen-printed electrode was modified through 20 cycles of electrodeposition using two approaches: a reduced graphene oxide–polypyrrole composite (A20) and graphene oxide reduced under UV irradiation during polymerization (B20).
Tailored GelMA‐Chitosan‐Polypyrrole‐ CNT Conductive Scaffold for Potential Application in Neural Tissue Regeneration
1 Introduction The treatment of peripheral nerve injuries (PNIs) can be challenging due to the diverse degrees of damage caused by different types of injuries. Sir Herbert Seddon classified PNIs into three types: neuropraxia, axonotmesis, and neurotmesis, with the latter requiring surgery due to complete disruption of the nerve trunk [1, 2].
Carbon nanomaterials: Exploring new frontiers in wound healing therapy
Recent advances in carbon-based nanomaterial therapeutics have demonstrated significant potential in enhancing wound care by facilitating beneficial cellular and biological responses essential for tissue repair and regeneration. The distinctive physicochemical properties of these materials position them as promising candidates for next-generation therapeutic platforms.
Enhanced Poly(Lactic‐Co‐Glycolic Acid) Composite for Bone Tissue Repair Applications: A Comprehensive Optimization Approach
1 Introduction Hard tissue engineering scaffolds, particularly for bone, must exhibit appropriate mechanical, physical, and biological properties to efficiently substitute the injured tissue and facilitate integration with the host tissue [1]. Numerous techniques exist for the fabrication of bone scaffolds, each presenting distinct problems and challenges.
Synthesis of Covalently Linked Bismuthene-Graphene Heterostructure Loaded with Mitomycin C for Combined Radio-thermo-chemotherapy of Triple-Negative Breast Cancer - Journal of Materials Chemistry B (RSC Publishing)
Synthesis of Covalently Linked Bismuthene-Graphene Heterostructure Loaded with Mitomycin C for Combined Radio-thermo-chemotherapy of Triple-Negative Breast Cancer The fabrication of innovative nanomaterials for cancer treatment is essential for reducing its morbidity. The present study focuses on the synthesis, evaluation, and utilization of bismuth nanosheet-reduced graphene oxide (BiNS-rGO) heterostructure as a platform for cancer combination therapy.
Electroconductive Gelatin/Alginate/ Graphene Hydrogel Based Scaffold for Neural Tissue Repair
1 Introduction Peripheral nerve damage often results from factors such as stretching, tearing, trauma, and surgical complications,[1] which can inevitably lead to sensory-motor disorders and decrease the patient's quality of life.[2] Surgical and non-surgical treatment strategies include electrical, magnetic, and light stimulation, the use of fibrin glue, neurorrhaphy, nerve transfer, cell-based therapy, medications, autograft, and allograft nerve guide conduits for peripheral nerve injury...
