Modified frailty index versus risk analysis index for 30-day mortality after noncardiac surgery: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Abstract Background: mFI and RAI are widely used in noncardiac surgical risk stratification, but they differ in content and data requirements. Because construct validity and outcome discrimination are distinct, we evaluated their prognostic discrimination for 30-day all-cause mortality without treating either instrument as a criterion-standard multidimensional frailty measure.
Oral microbiome and lesion-associated microbiological findings in medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw: a systematic review and evidence map
SYSTEMATIC REVIEW article Front. Cell. Infect. Microbiol., 08 September 2026 Sec. Oral Microbes and Host Volume 16 - 2026 | https://doi.org/10.3389/fcimb.2026.1923000 Disclaimer: All claims expressed in this article are solely those of the authors and do not necessarily represent those of their affiliated organizations, or those of the publisher, the editors and the reviewers.
Agonistic anti-CD40 antibodies in patients with solid tumors: a systematic review and evidence map of clinical safety, with exploratory proportional synthesis
Abstract Background: Agonistic anti-CD40 antibodies and related CD40 agonist biologics are being developed across multiple solid tumors using diverse biologic formats, delivery routes, and combination regimens. Safety is central to their clinical development but remains difficult to interpret because high-grade adverse events in combination settings may reflect partner therapies, and safety outcomes are reported inconsistently.

Preoperative neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio and systemic immune-inflammation index as prognostic biomarkers for postoperative pneumonia and pulmonary complications after thoracic surgery: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Abstract Background: Postoperative pneumonia and pulmonary complications are major adverse events following thoracic surgery.
Higher vs. lower positive end-expiratory pressure during one-lung ventilation for thoracic surgery: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Abstract Background: Higher fixed positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) during one-lung ventilation (OLV) may improve intraoperative oxygenation but could compromise haemodynamic stability. We performed a systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate the effects of higher vs. lower fixed PEEP strategies on intraoperative hypotension and postoperative pulmonary complications (PPCs) in patients undergoing thoracic surgery.
