This was a pretty good show for Maher; none of his guests was directly refuting reality. I remember the long slow decline of Dennis Miller, whose HBO show used to be very sharp and funny in its day. After a while, Miller started punching down, and seemed more devoted to his continued success than his audience. At one point in 2002, HBO cut him loose. It was a bad time for a conventional comic to be anti-government, and he tried to walk the tightrope. It just wasn't funny anymore.

Deep roots in the South Bend/Notre Dame community. Holcomb has been the bully you'd expect Pence to hand-pick, and is term-limited out in 2024. Pete wins two terms as governor. Would be 50 in 2032. I'd expect him to run again then. Of course, he could be vice-president under Harris first.

I know some folks at a local hospice, but it's a different state and 200 miles from my relative And they are more into nuts and bolts caregiving - relief, meds, vigils. Complex old age issues - legal, nursing home admittance, anxiety - not as much. Thanks though, I will keep it in mind and ponder who and how to approach.
