INTRODUCTION Endometriosis is a common, inflammatory gynaecological condition affecting women, non-binary and gender diverse people which can have detrimental impacts on quality of life.1 Combining clinically suspected and surgically confirmed diagnoses, estimates are endometriosis affects one in nine women.2 With limited research into endometriosis in Aotearoa New Zealand, our epidemiological understanding of endometriosis is based on international data.
