Coordinate shift of Sentinel-1 after subseting in SNAP
I applied the Raster subset function in ESA SNAP on a sentinel-1 GRD product. As I try to open this subset in QGIS, the location of the subset is being shifted. It seems that the CRS of the subset either changes or gets lost. In QGIS I set the CRS of the project to : WGS84 UTM 39N, EPSG:32639 This is the location of the sentinel-1 tile that sits correctly on the map layer. The subset that I generated by SNAP from the same file however is being shifted for several hundred kilometers.
Incompatibility between CDSE and GEE tiles
I am verifying the sentinel-1 (IW-GRDH) tile of the same date/location downloaded and visualized from two different sources : Google earth Engine (GEE) Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem (CDSE) The tiles are different in size: 28831x21827 (GEE) 29645x20240 (CDSE) I visualize the two tiles one in GEE space and the other in QGIS, setting the contrast stretching factor to 3 sigma (standard deviation of the pixel intensity values) They also look different in brightness and to me looks as if the GEE...
Python error: Couldn't load plugin 'Geo-SAM'
I have installed GeoSAM plugin on my QGIS LTS 3.40.11 on windows 11, according to the instruction here. All steps of python dependencies passed and I installed required packages there after. Now I am facing with a similar problem that is mentioned here. I followed the suggested answere by doing: pip install pyproj rasterio -U The issue remains the same. QGIS python can not load plugin.
Windows 11 pytorch installation error
I am following this tutorial to install GeoSAM plugin for QGIS. As I removed my old QGIS and installed the latest LTS version through OSGeo4W installer it seems that at some point the old installation of the plugin is broken and therefore I need to reinstall it. Before starting the installation of plugin I need to install pytorch (GPU) as plugin depends on it.
QGIS Osgeo4W installation Incomplete
I have tried several times to install QGIS through osgeoW on windows 11. Using both "Express" and "Advance" installations. The process crashed each time at different point causing unsuccessful installation. In the last try the Download reached 102% following a failing prompt: When I selected "No", the process of installation started and reached 77% where another error apeared saying: Code execution is impossible because gdal-dev312.dll is not found. Reinstallation might resolve the problem.

Geo-SAM in QGIS TypeError: '>=' not supported between instances of 'float' and 'tuple'
I have recently installed Geo-SAM as a plugin in my QGIS. All the steps of installation were passed correctly.
GEE: creating multiple ImageCollections based on date property
I am trying to have control over the selection/filtering of images inside an ImageCollection by: 'MGRS_TILE' property. 'system:index' property (containing date of acquisition). I do the basic filtering as : var imgc = ee.ImageCollection('COPERNICUS/S2_SR_HARMONIZED') .filterDate(startDate, endDate) .filterBounds(cite) .filter(ee.Filter.lt('CLOUDY_PIXEL_PERCENTAGE', 50)); At this step depending on 'startDate' and 'endDate' the imgc can have more than one images.
ModuleNotFoundError when installing Geo-SAM plugin in QGIS
I am trying to install and activate GeoSAM plugin on my QGIS on Windows 11 according to this tutorial. Python version 3.12.6 QGIS version 3.34.11 I used the OSGeo4W shell to install torch, torchgeo and segment-anything. When I run Python in this shell (which I assume is the same Python of QGIS), I can import both torch and torchgeo without any problem.

running osgeo4w powershell as administrator
I am trying to install pytorch in osgeo4w powershell on windows11. It can not go on fetching files from the respective site as there are security settings on my (work) laptop empeaching me to install software from external sources on it. Fortunately I have admin rights so I can run terminals as administrator and install apps/packages etc. However I can not run Osgeo4W shell as administrator. Please notice the figure attached. I would appreciate any hints.
PyQGIS plotting with DataPlotly programatically
I want to use DataPlotly in Qgis as the substitute of matplotlib while coding python using QGIS python API. For the first try I decided to scatter plot one field of my vector layer against the index field.
PyQgis processing error: Invalid Data Source
I am trying to run native QGIS functions through python (programatically) while exporting the output in two different ways : Exporting output into a physical file : processing.run("qgis:listuniquevalues",\ {'INPUT': vlayer,\ 'FIELDS' :'Rendement',\ 'OUTPUT': output_path+'channay_Rendement_unique.shp'}) Exporting output into memory (virtual layer) : processing.run("qgis:listuniquevalues",\ {'INPUT': vlayer,\ 'FIELDS' :'Rendement',\ 'OUTPUT': 'memory'}) I then try to visualize the result layer...
PyQGIS set CRS for .csv file
I am trying to read a .csv file. It contains X and Y fields for location of its features (points). The .csv file however does not carry CRS information therefore when I do : layer = QgsVectorLayer(uri, "CSV layer", "delimitedtext") QgsProject.instance().addMapLayer(layer) it shows a new layer added to the "Layers" list without any CRS. My question is, assuming that I know the relevant CRS of this data, how can I assign it to the already opened Layer?
read csv using QGIS python API
I have a question regarding reading a csv file using Python QGIS. If I want to read in a shapefile I do : fn_shp = 'c:/xyz/fname.shp' shp_layer = QgsVectorLayer(fn, 'shp layer', 'ogr') Does this interface (QgsVectorLayer) also accepts a .csv file as an input?
QGIS IDW interpolation does not show the list of attributes
Asked Viewed 3 times I am trying to use a point layer as the input layer for IDW to generate an interpolated map. The Table Attribute of the corresponding shapefile looks: In which I used "field_4" and "field_3" values for the x and y of the point locations. I want however to interpolate based on attribute "field_5".

GEE: casting confusionmatrix as list
After reading this question and the corresponding answer, I tried to get a confusion matrix produced by GEE random forrest classifier and turn it into a good looking table. I realized that GEE has a separate object of "ee.ConfusionMatrix" enhanced with a method ".array()" which casts a confusion/error matrix to an array. Consequently one can get the resulting "array" and turn it into a "list": ee.ConfusionMatrix.array().toList(); The result however is not exactly a list.
GEE feature alignment in two featureCollections (same features but with different ID properties)
I have two sapefiles consisting of features + geometries that represent the same bounding areas on earth. Lets call them shp_D1 and shp_D2. Like in many shapefiles, every feature (polygon) in these featurecollections (FCs) have a property ID which is unique. However a polygon in shp_D1 has different ID than its counterpart in shp_D2. (ex.
Mapping, Iteration and conditional selection on featureCollection in GEE
I want to make a function (possibly using Currying method) in GEE to do a modification of my featureCollection. In the code bellow I wrote a function_infunction to add a new property "label" (which is an integer value given as an input argument) to the feature collection: var addLabel = function(l){ return function(feature) { return feature.set({label:l}); }; }; var DFV_coll = cc_features.filter(ee.Filter.eq('CUL','A')).map(addLabel(11)); It works well.
Plotting Sentinel-2 Level-2A Scene Classification in GEE
I am interested to visualize the result of Scene Classification (SC) that is automatically performed during the production of level-2A products. I am using GEE. I have read this and this page and I can see that there are 23 bands inside each sentine-2 level-2A product. I can see that half of these are "original" Bands of S2 and the rest are the "products" of S2 preprocessing algorithm.
