Guerlain Jicky Eau de Parfum: A Marvel in a New Dress
Lots of tales accompany Jicky by Guerlain. Not all of them are true. The latest however, that the newer edition is to die for, is undoubtedly veracious. I can attest to it, because I personally help spread the news whenever I can, so smitten was I when I first tried it. I bought it very soon after launch and put it to good use every day since. It is accompanying me through the autumn months not yet cold, although certainly not hot either.
How it All Began
The book by Gabe Oppenheim, The Ghost Perfumer, published last year, seems to have been aimed at stripping the veils: its main thesis is that the whole dynasty of perfumers with the surname Creed, originating supposedly in 1760, is a fiction from the first to the last word. Creeds have never been perfumers, and the brand owes much of its success to the talent of Pierre Bourdon, who created many great fragrances for the brand (until he retired).
The juvenile defiance of Caron – Tabac Blanc ~ New Fragrances ~ Fragrantica
I was overjoyed to receive the new perfume by Caron, Tabac Blanc. When hastily unpacking it, going through the rustling tissue sealed by the brand's logo, the word fucking appeared. I wonder what age the new Caron target is? Not only is this language now approved by the historic French house, but the stylization of childish colorful crayon writing makes me terribly uncomfortable. Your thoughts? The visual introduction tremendously affected my will to review the fragrance.
Soul Batik Moresque Review
The Secret Collection by Moresque was first presented to the public in 2018. Compared to the previously released Black & White Collection and the even more expensive Gold Collection, it was something like the ready-to-wear Armani Collezioni in comparison to the Haute Couture collections Giorgio Armani and Emporio Armani. The Secret Collection fragrances were dedicated to the most popular notes of the eastern fragrant language: oud and peony, tuberose and musk, jasmine and rose.
Arquiste Indigo Smoke
Arquiste has recently announced a new fragrance called Indigo Smoke. It is already on the brand's website and available as a pre-sale. It will be shipped and hit the stores from September 19th. Indigo Smoke was composed by perfumer Calice Becker, and the brand describes it like this: "Rich and smoky, the scent of black tea floats in plumes of indigo smoke as the leaves are dried.
Jewelry Brand Taffin Launches Les Couleurs de Taffin
James Taffin de Givenchy, an American jewelry designer and the founder of the jewelry company Taffin, will introduce his first line of fragrances, Les Couleurs de Taffin, at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City on Monday, September 5, 2022. Les Couleurs de Taffin consists of seven fragrances: tuberose Le Marron, citrus musk L' Orange, oriental rose Le Rose, citrus woody Le Gris, chypre fougère Le Vert, iris vetiver Le Rouge, and fruity tobacco vetiver Le Jaune.
What Is Outrageous! Doing In Frédéric Malle?
Sophia Grojsman’s Outrageous! is an idiosyncratic, anachronistic, anomalous oddity in the Malle collection of scents. The rest of the line, consistently luscious and symphonic no matter the style, showcases intense, intricate, and melodramatic compositions that smell just as good from afar as when the fine brushwork is observed close up to the nose. Outrageous!, so crassly chemical, feels like it was forged from the fire of another universe.
