Summary and Reviews of The Railway Conspiracy by John Nee
Prologue Beijing, 1966 It seems every tale of Dee Ren Jie begins with a fight. Dee himself is the most patient and just of men; yet in some places and in some times, patience and justice are not the virtues most prized by some men. In those times and places, preparing oneself for the rigors of physical combat is the way of wisdom, and Dee is also wise.
Here’s How I Pulled Off the Perfect Heist
I’ve always loved how heist stories follow a particular formula but manage to delight me every time. I never thought that I would have the ability to write one myself until the idea for Women of Good Fortune grabbed onto me one day and wouldn’t let go. Suddenly, I had this intense desire to explore the lives of the three women at its core, but against the backdrop of something dramatic and propulsive: they would plan and carry out a heist at Shanghai’s most anticipated society wedding.

Book Review: I Heard A Fly Buzz When I Died by Amanda Flower
When a literary icon stays with the Dickinson family, Emily and her housemaid Willa find themselves embroiled in a shocking murder in Amanda Flower's I Heard A Fly Buzz When I Died. Housemaid Willa Noble has never been afraid of hard work but the return of Austin Dickinson and his new bride Susan to the Evergreens, the estate directly across from where she works for his parents and sisters, adds unexpected burdens to her schedule. This is admittedly less Austin’s fault than his sister Emily’s.
The Crime of Foodless Fiction
From award-winning author S. J. Rozan, The Mayors of New York is a new crime novel following two private investigators thrust into the mystery behind the disappearance of the teenage son of the mayor of New York. Below, she shares how food plays an essential role in characterization and creating a setting in fiction. People in my books tend to eat a lot. They also drink a lot of coffee and tea. Sometimes, booze. Why, you say? Well, but don’t we all?
The Mystery of Real Estate Porn
It’s a game in New York and we all play. Everyone talks real estate, how the condo market’s soft, how the rental market’s skyrocketing, how Manhattan’s suddenly affordable but forget about Brooklyn, and really, the south Bronx is incredibly convenient on the 2, the 5, even the D, Hoboken’s way out of reach but have you thought about Weehawken?

New York, Plus Ça Change: Chinatown Under Threat
Here in New York City everything changes all the time. Ask any New Yorker: if you don’t walk down every block in the city every six months, the next time you get somewhere you’ll find it’s changed it to the point where you’ll be checking your little blue dot to make sure you’re where you thought you were. But very few of us can cover the whole city twice a year. Including me, though I work at it. Instead we count on the fact that though blocks change fast, neighborhoods change slowly.
THE ART OF VIOLENCE
by S.J. Rozan ‧ RELEASE DATE: Dec. 1, 2020 Whatever good feelings private eye Bill Smith may have about being back in New York after his recent trip to far-off Mississippi are muted by the fact that he’s dealing with his honored series’ most wacko client. Six years ago, Bill did his best to round up evidence that Sam Tabor, who stabbed Amy Evans to death, was suffering a bout of temporary insanity.
