I want to see Ngannou vs Wilder now
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by SmackDaBum, . Joshua vs Hrgovic and Ngannou vs Wilder and Fury vs Usyk. I would of course prefer AJ vs Wilder but like things has developed lately it seems more unlikely. If Ngannou would put on a Dereck Chisora type of tank driving offence I think he has a good shot at beating Wilder. Technically they are both beginner levels of boxing but heavy hitting.
Wilder vs Povetkin
Unless we're talking about the Pov from the Whyte rematch, though, we're talking about a fighter levels better than Ortiz? And Ortiz being close to winning the first bout, I would've thought a better fighter with a style better suited to beating Wilder would've had to be a very strong favourite?
Usyk vs Holyfield

If YOU were PARKER which route would you go?
Let's look at each. (note: This is mainly just my breakdown of what I think is going on. Feel free to disagree) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A) IBF route fight Hrgovic Pros i) The IBF title shot will come after the WBA but before the WBO. (6 months in advance?) ii) Hrgovic whilst dangerous and tipped for the future by many in the game, is somewhat of an unproven quantity in the pro ranks.
An angry Joe Parker would knock Usyk out
You'd just have to get him angry enough that he wouldn't sleepwalk to a UD loss. But if Parker went in there wanting to hurt Usyk he would knock him out. Parker has a granite chin, tanks bombs, he did get dropped by Whyte left hook when he was half concussed and got up at a count of 1, and Chisora flash kd with zero effect but he will just walk through Usyk's pit pat. He's also quick enough that he can hit Usyk, probably pretty easy if he just let's his hands go.
An unbiased look at Fury's top 10 opponents
By popular demand Wins: 1. 39.5 Wlad, away, 10-2 schooling 2. 34.5 Wilder, away, TKO7 domination 3. 36 Wilder, 20 months inactive, away, KO11 war 4. 29 Wallin, neutral, 9-3 war 5. 36.5 Cunningham, away, KO7 war 6. 31 Chisora, neutral, RET10 (Chisora couldn't land a glove) 7. 27.5 Chisora, neutral, 10-2 domination 8. 27.5 Hammer, home, RET8 (Hammer couldn't land a glove) 9. 33 Johnson, short notice, home, 12-0 shutout Draw: 1.
Wladimir Klitschko vs Henry Akinwande
Boxing News 24 Forum Forums > Boxing > World Boxing Forum > Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by douglas1, Dec 27, 2021 at 1:42 AM. One that got away Who would win this fight ? The expectation is that Akinwande stands no against the boxing ability and the power of a prime Wladimir Klitschko.
Heavyweights of today and Klitschko era.
Part of the problem is that the likes of Whyte, Parker and Ruiz are promoted as being top 10 guys when in reality they all probably lose to Joyce, Hrgovic, Yoka, Wallin, Makhmudov, Sanchez, Dubois and maybe several others. Chisora hasn't been a top 10 fighter since the Klitschko era and he pushed 40+ Vitali hard, of whom Chisora was one of his best wins (along with Sanders, Adamek, Gomez and Arreola).
Oleksander Usyk Vs Mike Tyson
Boxing News 24 Forum Forums > Boxing > World Boxing Forum > Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Kell Macabe, Dec 10, 2021 at 4:21 PM. Very different styles, both at their prime at heavyweight over 12 rounds. I've never seen Usyk hit clean. I believe he would avoid Mike's big shots and take him out late.
Does the three Wilder fights prove Tyson Fury is unknockable?
Better chin than Lennox Lewis, Wladimir Klitschko and Anthony Joshua.
Tyson Fury vs George Foreman
Boxing News 24 Forum Forums > Boxing > World Boxing Forum > Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by PistonHondai, Oct 16, 2021. Seeing how weak Fury is at defending body shots the first couple of rounds until Wilder gassed out, how well would Foreman do with Fury if he worked the body all night? kaapa2, Heavy_Hitter, Salty Dog and 1 other person like this. Who can beat Canelo at 168 in boxing history?
Ward, RJJ, Calzaghe, hell even Greb roughs him up and wins a UD. Toney beats him as well.
Tyson Fury will retire soon

Just in time for losing with USyK. Lol 2 or 3 years isn't soon He's gonna box and cash checks until the wheels come completely off....until then we've got multiple big fights left to see. Wilder is the biggest waste of willpower and athleticism In boxing history.
I dont get the critism tbh. Fair enough fury was too good for him...but furys the best heavyweight on the planet in most peoples minds and the thing that made the most difference probably more so than even the skill was the weight difference. Giving away 40 lbs is huge. For a guy that people claim is on the wrong path...cant box...hes knocked out 40 of 41 opponents pre fury. The path he,s went downs actually been a massive success.

Who do you want to win AJ or Usyk
Boxing News 24 Forum Forums > Boxing > World Boxing Forum > Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by infini IV, Sep 23, 2021 at 12:14 PM. Forget who you think will win. I'd like to know the numbers on who you WANT to win? Usyk. He actually brings things to the sport: shows that skill, training, discipline, and intelligence wins over natural size and power. He's someone to study and learn from now and into the future.

Who wins my fantasy heavyweight super series?
So, after having a poll for the fantasy middleweight super series the eventual winner was Marvin Hagler, closely followed by Roy Jones Jr. The final was Hagler v Jones. Seeing as it generated a nice discussion on the merits of each fighter, and highlighted a few names who were missing, I figured I'd see what everyone thought about a heavyweight version.
Lennox Lewis vs Wlad Klitschko prime vs prime who wins?
Boxing News 24 Forum Forums > Boxing > World Boxing Forum > Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Sean weir, Mar 14, 2017. 1 ← 2 3 4 5 6 → 16 Next > Lewis has more reach, more aggressive, and is mentally the stronger of the two. Wladimir is good at clinching and a little faster. Who would you pick to win this clash of the Titans? Staminakills likes this. I think Lewis by KO early Wladimir is a more athletic and quicker version of Lewis, with a better chin and more power.
Heavyweight size - An objective look on the modern "super-heavyweights"
Yesterday, I had a debate with fellow poster andrewa1 regarding Muhammad Alis head to head ability going up against the current crop of heavyweights. He argued that statistically, each generation of The Ring Magazine top 10 heavyweights is taller on average, citing an expansion in the talent pool of the sport.
If you could chose: AJ vs DW or AJ vs TF?
My favorite fighter is Fury but I would still pick Wilder Just because i would love to see him get beaten badly. AJ vs Fury for all the marbles! But I'd settle for AJ vs Wilder to see how many marbles Wilder has left. AJ vs Fury fir the undisputed fight.

Lets make a case for Pulev
Boxing News 24 Forum Forums > Boxing > World Boxing Forum > Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by SmackDaBum, Dec 10, 2020 at 6:18 AM. If he manages to get the upset - how will it play out? He would have to KO Joshua and pulev is far too feather fisted to do that. Look at his record, its pretty bad. Advertisement It's simply not going to happen. AJ got caught blind by hooks to the side of the head by Ruiz after thinking he had him.. I can't see Pulev landing those kind of shots at all..

Wilder gained over 20 lbs from first fight, he looked in shape, but no VADA this time?!
Explain this to me. This f cherrypicking hypejob fraud that avoided a CLEAN Povetkin get a Free pass gaining 20+ lbs leaning muscle mass doing what he wants without testning?! No wonder people dont like him, haymon, pbc, wbc, etc... Disgusting for the sport.
People saying Fury coming in over 260 lbs would be out of shape.
I've now got to think about a thread prior to the fight in which @Mendoza suggested that Fury wouldnt be in shape coming in over 260+ pounds like he would just wanna cash out. Then he said that Fury looked great from a reecent training footage prior to the fight. And on the weigh in he noted that Fury weighed over 270 lbs... Dont get me wrong this is not an insult to @Mendoza. I just want to put it out like this: there is difference in weight and weight.
