Blacksad: Under the Skin (Xbox Series X/S) Review
If you’re seeing this and thinking, “I swear I’ve heard the name Blacksad before” then your hunch is probably correct. Blacksad: Under the Skin was originally released back in 2019 on the Xbox One, but now in 2024 we have the Xbox Series X version. Before continuing this was the first time playing Blacksad so this won’t be any comparisons if that’s what you’re looking for (for that, check out Graham’s original review here).
Berzerk: Recharged Review
Conclusion The mechanics of Berzerk: Recharged are excellent and I can’t fault it. Dowside comes when you’ve played a few levels, they are more or less the same. While playing I was reminded how this would be a wonderful 90’s arcade cabinet game and have everyone queueing up to play. But for a modern-day console game, it does hit all the right shots. Co-op was fun and made the game more palatable. Become a Patron! This game was reviewed based on Xbox S|X review code, using an Xbox S|X console.
Berzerk: Recharged Review (PS5)
Berzerk: Recharged Review (PS5) Release Date:11-09-2023Genre:Action, Classic, remakeDeveloped By:SneakyBoxPublisher:AtariPlatform:PlayStation 5 Publisher Atari and developer SneakyBox are bringing back a classic 80s Atari arcade gaming experience that quite frankly scared the ever-loving shit out of me as a kid, if not caused outright anxiety at the time. The game? Berserk.
Quantum: Recharged Review
This influx of re-imagined Atari games has been really great to see. There are obvious contenders for porting and documentary work – to give people more insight into the process of the game – but I have been very much charmed by this smaller, lesser-known game Quantum. Quantum: Recharged is a slick one. The original was built on the same hardware as the original Tempest machines and controlled with a trackball.
Days of Doom Review
As I sat down to play through the tutorial for Days of Doom, I had to ask myself – is Atari back? With the recent release of the anniversary collection and the loving playable Karateka game it feels like they are making the right moves. So far, they are leaning into the nostalgia from their past but with Days of Doom they have published an original title. So, is Atari back? The answer is a warm ‘kind of’.
Quantum: Recharged Review
Quantum: Recharged Review Genre:Arcade, ShooterDeveloped By:SneakyBoxPublisher:AtariPlatform:PlayStation 5 The days of taking dollars from my dad, putting them in a quarter machine, and then living the dream of spending hours upon hours playing short arcade experiences might be long gone, but games like Quantum: Recharged from developer SneakyBox are keeping the memories alive.
