Is there a way to temporarily disable the undo history for a RichTextBox?
I'm currently wrestling with Tables inside RichTextBoxs in WPF. In WPF, tables don't have rows and columns, they just have rows, each having a certain number of cells. When a user presses the "Add Column" button, my program adds a new cell to each row. The problem with using this method is after a user adds a column, if they press undo, it removes each cell one by one, obviously not what the user would expect.
Why is !0 as a type in Microsoft Intermediate Language?
You'd normally use type argument names like and in C# source code. Doesn't really matter what you pick, anything goes. However, neither the jitter nor the CLR actually cares about the name of the type argument. So they don't make it into the MSIL, they get substituted with . Where !0 means "first type argument", !1 means "second type argument", etcetera. The `1 suffix on "Nullable" is an encoding as well, means that the generic type has one type argument.
Console.Writeline basics
How come WriteLine knows the text representation of DateTime object? I mean, if I create my own object from my own class, how would it know how to convert the value to text? has a set of overloads matching specific types (mainly primitives). If the compiler doesn't match an overload with the provided type, it matches with the overload taking (granted you provide a single parameter). If that happens, it checks to see if the type implements , if it does, it invokes .
c# - What is, really, a "Special Class"? - Stack Overflow
After failing to get something like the following to compile: public class Gen<T> where T : System.Array { } with the error A constraint cannot be special class `System.Array' I started wondering, what, exactly, is a "special class"? People often seem to get the same kind of error when they specify System.Enum in a generic constraint. I got the same results with System.Object, System.Delegate, System.MulticastDelegate and System.ValueType too. Are there more of them?
Eric Lippert and Neal Gafter C# puzzle
I believe that problem is caused by static field initalizator. I've spotted that new thread is started only when is done (despite is called) - so I suppose that CLR blocks other threads to avoid concurrent access / double field initalization. To sum up: Newly-created thread is not started by CLR to avoid concurrent access, but main initalization thread waits for child thread to be done what means deadlock.
