I'm a freelance journalist with professional ties in India and the United States. I've contributed to several influential news outlets, including Al Jazeera America, Al Jazeera English, The Caravan, Columbia Journalism Review, The Guardian, Mashable, The New York Times and VICE News.
Alongside foreign reporting, I specialize in covering trends in media and digital culture, and incorporating those trends in my work. I'm very interested in how people learn and pursue journalism that pushes the boundaries of that experience.
In a previous life, I taught English in Japan for two years, where I produced “Shizuoka Speaks,” a podcast series exploring how globalization is changing immigration and education in Asia.
