Four sequential filters constrain the efficacy of spray-induced gene silencing against fungal pathogens
INTRODUCTION Fungal pathogens pose a major threat to global agricultural productivity by causing destructive plant diseases that result in significant yield reductions, economic losses, and increased food insecurity (Fones et al., 2020; Jing and Lu, 2022). Globally, these microbes account for up to 20% of annual crop losses, with an additional 10% attributed to post-harvest spoilage (Fisher et al., 2018).

Spray‐induced gene silencing as a novel strategy for managing dollar spot in creeping bentgrass caused by Clarireedia jacksonii
Figure S1. Phylogenetic analysis of the fungal strain used in this study. The phylogenetic tree was constructed using three genetic markers (CaM, ITS, and Mcm7). The strain used in this study (highlighted in the green box) is positioned within the C. jacksonii clade, confirming its taxonomic identity. Figure S2. Agarose gel electrophoresis of synthesized double-stranded RNAs (dsRNAs).
