1. 오늘의 핵심 오늘은 Monolithic Arc hitecture와 Microservice Architecture의 차이를 비교하고, 여러 Microservice를 운영하기 위해 필요한 Spring Cloud의 구성요소를 학습했다. Monolithic 하나의 애플리케이션 안에 모든 기능을 구성 ↓ 일부 기능을 수정해도 전체 애플리케이션을 다시 빌드·배포 Microservice Architecture 비즈니스 기능을 독립된 서비스로 분리 ↓ 변경된 서비스만 빌드·테스트·배포·확장 가능 MSA는 단순히 Spring Boot 프로젝트를 여러 개 만드는 것이 아니다. 서비스가 분리되면서 생기는 주소 관리, 설정 관리, 서비스 간 통신, 장애 전파, 데이터 일관성, 모니터링 문제까지 함께 해결해야 한다. 오늘 학습한 전체 구조는 다음과 같다.

HUGME의 AWS Resource가 배치되고 서로 통신할 수 있는 네트워크 기반을 만들기 위해 전용 VPC와 Subnet, Internet Gateway, Route 테이블과 RDS DB Subnet Group을 실제로 구축한다. AWS에서 EC2와 RDS 같은 Resource를 생성하려면 먼저 Resource가 위치할 네트워크 공간이 필요하다. HUGME에서는 AWS Account에 기본으로 존재하는 Default VPC를 사용하지 않고 프로젝트 전용 네트워크인 hugme-vpc를 직접 생성한다. hugme-vpc 내부에는 Backend, AI와 Jenkins EC2가 배치될 Public Subnet 하나와 RDS를 위한 Private DB Subnet 두 개를 구성한다.

앞에서 로컬 Docker 개발환경에서 검증한 Backend Dockerfile을 이용하여 linux/amd64 Docker Image를 만들고 Amazon ECR을 거쳐 Backend EC2에 최초로 배포한 뒤 Spring Boot와 데이터베이스 연결, HTTP 응답까지 확인한다. 앞에서는 Backend EC2에 Docker Engine과 Docker Compose를 구성하고 ParadeDB, Elasticsearch를 먼저 실행하였다. 또한 /opt/hugme/backend에 .env, .deploy.env, docker-compose.yml까지 준비하여 Spring Boot Container가 추가될 실행환경도 완성하였다. 하지만 현재 Backend EC2에는 실제 Spring Boot Docker Image가 아직 존재하지 않는다.
Kubernetes 관측 도구 구조 정리: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Promtail
2편에서는 Spring-React-MSA 요청 흐름을 기준으로 Kubernetes Object들이 어떻게 연결되는지 정리했다. Browser -> Ingress -> Service -> Pod -> 내부 Service -> Redis / Postgres 이 흐름을 이해하면 Kubernetes 안에서 요청이 어떤 경로로 이동하는지 감을 잡을 수 있다. 하지만 흐름을 아는 것과, 실제로 문제가 생겼을 때 원인을 찾는 것은 또 다른 문제다. 문제가 생기면 대충 이런 식으로 확인할 수 있다. docker ps docker logs -f spring-member-bff docker logs -f postgres 하지만 Kubernetes에서는 Pod가 계속 생성되고 사라질 수 있다. Deployment가 Pod를 다시 띄울 수도 있고, Rolling Update 과정에서 새 Pod와 기존 Pod가 동시에 존재할 수도 있다. 즉 로그를 봐야 할 대상이 고정되어 있지 않다.

AWS에서 Backend EC2에 연결한 ParadeDB 전용 EBS를 실제 Linux 디바이스와 정확하게 대응시킨 뒤 ext4 파일 시스템을 생성하고 /data/paradedb에 마운트하여 ParadeDB 데이터 전용 저장공간으로 준비한다. 앞 단계에서는 Backend EC2의 기본 서버 환경과 /opt/hugme/backend 운영 경로를 준비하였다. 이제 Backend EC2의 Root EBS와 별도로 생성한 ParadeDB 전용 EBS를 실제 Linux에서 사용할 수 있도록 구성한다. AWS Infrastructure 구축 단계에서는 hugme-paradedb-ebs를 생성하여 hugme-backend EC2에 연결하는 작업까지만 완료하였다. EBS를 EC2에 연결했다고 해서 Linux에서 바로 파일을 저장할 수 있는 것은 아니다.
