Terence Crawford announces retirement
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by SquaredCircle, . Posted on Instagram within the past half-hour. Says he's walking away with nothing left to prove. I mean fair enough. Hes had a great career, he had very little options bar a Canelo rematch at best. I really wanted to see him against Janibek for the unified titles at middleweight, but then the Lara thing happened and who knows if he'll stay at 160 or not.
RIP Vanes Martirosyan (1986-2025)

Will there be a "RIP Don King" when he dies?
Well when you look at it this way Old Don put on some great cards. Yeah I know he screwed a lot of fighters along the way, but so have many others. Would the members of NSAC, CSAC etc get RIP.s ? Would the notorious Vegas judges get R I P 's when they pass? Now I know some of you will say " Here he goes again" but just think how two boxers have done far more to hurt the sport in their careers than ever Don did.

Teofimo's "shoulder roll" thing
Boxing News 24 Forum Forums > Boxing > World Boxing Forum > Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Forza, Nov 30, 2021 at 6:19 PM. Forza Obsessed with Boxing What the heck is that supposed to be? George was landing the jab and right hand at will during the later rounds. That's where most of the damage came from. Another case of “Mayweather” syndrome where people mindlessly imitate Mayweather’s shoulder roll but has little to no effectiveness in their style at all. Just ask Broner.

Salty Dog likes this. Davis by KO easy. All you gotta do is watch a Ryan Garcia fight then pop in a Davis fight. Ryan is so damn stiff and has zero headmovement or bending of his waist. I Dreamed Pacquiao Vs Spence Jr. Fighting
Last night I woke up and having a vivid and intense dream of Manny Pacquiao Vs Errol Spence Jr. I was kinda like viewing it from an overhead angle and sometimes a bit lower, like on the ring apron. Like most dreams, I can't remember much. I do hope North Korea does not accuse my of "dreaming different dreams". Here goes: Pacquiao was bombing Spence Jr. with hard power shots. Not as speedy as the prime Pacquiao, but harder.
Sergey Kovalev (2013) vs Chad Dawson (2007) - who takes this LHW matchup?
Boxing News 24 Forum Forums > Boxing > World Boxing Forum > Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by SquaredCircle, Jul 9, 2021 at 8:01 AM. If you took the Kovalev from the Cleverly or Sillakh fights when he was probably at his physical peak and Chad Dawson from the Adamek fight in what I thought was his best performance, how would the fight go and who would take it? Dawson would probably be ahead like 6-3 and then get stopped between rounds 9-12.

Unpopular opinion but this fight showed that Canelo still struggles with slick movers
Boxing News 24 Forum Forums > Boxing > World Boxing Forum > Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by MarkusFlorez99, May 8, 2021 at 9:37 PM. Saunders gave him some serious issues in the middle rounds. I even had saunders schooling him in one of those rounds. He figured Saunders out eventually though so credit where credit is due Up until he catches them cold. He is too slick to the body, will always slow down any mover.
Only Beterbiev beats Canelo
Boxing News 24 Forum Forums > Boxing > World Boxing Forum > Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by UniversalPart, May 8, 2021 at 9:32 PM. Canelo wipes out 168lb with ease Plant is not slick enough Benavidez will get the same treatment as Chavez Jr Canelo will have to look to 175lb for a challenge and there's only one guy there worth fighting - Beterbiev. It's the only challenge for him. Canelo will out work Beterbiev until Beterbiev starts landing and then stops him.
SIm Racing realism (lap time - wise)
#1 Guys, just want to read you opinion about the general realism of our beloved sims - a thing I think about now for quite some time. Reason is the ongoing discussion on "Sim A's physics are better than B's". Imagine you can do lap times around 3:58 on LeMans in your favorite sim in a GTE. How realistic would it be to assume you can do a similar lap time in a real GTE (not that we can try it, anyway) My point of view: No way.
Vernon Forrest vs Errol Spence & Terence Crawford
The thread about Forrest's decisive victory in the first fight against an undefeated Mosley got me thinking how The Viper would do in today's welterweight division against the two pound-for-pound guys. Who takes these fights?
Boxing Myths That Need to Die ASAP
What things do you hear frequently from casual fans (or even some die-hards) that are blatantly wrong or horribly misinformed? To start, given the recent passing of Marvelous Marvin Hagler, seeing people referring to him as a brawler who never took a step backwards needs to go. It's actually absurd to say that because tuning in for twenty seconds to the Sibson, Hamsho, or Hart fights (just for starters) fully disproves that assertion.
Headtracking (TrackIR) and tactile feedback?
#1 Guys, does anyone use both headtracking (specifically TrackIR) together with tactile feedback and can share some experience with that combination. The bass shakers in my rig are strong enough to also shake the monitor a small bit - and before investing in a TrackIR I'd like to know if that in turn will make the headtracking unusable. Thanks for all input!

There is nobody that I would pick over Canelo at 168 and under
Boxing News 24 Forum Forums > Boxing > World Boxing Forum > Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Contro, Dec 19, 2020 at 10:19 PM. I wanna see him against Bivol Beterbiev and Ward at 175. That's too much. Ward at 175? What has Canelo done to you. Yeah, nobody beats Canelo right now 168 and below until he declines. Too explosive, durable, skilled, quick on the counter, and defensively sound. He beats Saunders, Plant, Charlo, Andrade, etc. Advertisement Jul214, Contro and 22JM like this.

Help find a rim that matches some prerequisites
#1 Guys, I need your help I already have a SC2 sport with a nice rim (Tomo's BBPro32). Now I'm looking for a GTE/LMP/Formula-type rim that - is connected via USB (to avoid further vendor-lock-in) - has at least one 7-way-switch which to me is the only serious way to control menus while driving - has a dual-clutch-system (for nice take-offs) I'm looking for something of high quality as I don't mind spending a few hundred Euros more to avoid 3D-printed or China-plastic stuff.
Cars/Liveries/Setups exchange: Please enlighten me!
#1 Situation: I have the GEC mod installed and bought the GTE pack. The following example is based on the 12h Sebring track that I got as part of the track pack. Still using the "old" UI. Few weeks ago I selected the Porsche RSR from the GEC mod and started out on the Sebring track. Developed a setup, tried to get better etc. Few days ago, felt like jumping into a different car (FR3.5) on different track. Failed miserably but anyway...

Brake / Engine wear?
#1 I'm trying to learn rf2 and there's one thing that I obviously fail to get: I can't see the current state of engine and brakes. Using "classic" GUI, 911 RSR und LM24 (both S397 content). Whatever I do, I can't kill the engine. Which is bad for realism Any option I don't see? Thanks guys!
Multiple Wheels -> multiple assignments -> multiple profiles (?)
#1 As I - could not decide for wireless vs. USB for my future SC2 and - could not resist getting the SRB BB Pro 32 and - will not be able to resist getting the Ascher F64 once it's available again I'll simply have 2 wheels using them in different cars in the same game. I guess that's not uncommon. Now the question for those of you, who do the same is: How do you do the button assignments? Changing the wheel would need completely differently assigned buttons.
Heusinkveld Sprints on Preorder?
#1 Hi Guys, after a very strange experience on the Heusinkveld Webshop yesterday: Does anyone know a European Webshop who take preorders on Heusinkveld Sprints? [I don't mean "send me an email if available", I mean a preorder ] Thanks!
SC2 wheel - wireless or USB?
#1 I guess I'm now set for a SC2 (Sport) instead of a Fanatec DD. As I'm missing any opportunity for real-life testing both systems, I have to go with theory. Those theoretical reasons are: - Slightly better reviews - Less software stuff to play around (see Fanatec EBM-software-update instructions) - More manufacturers involved. If a component breaks, it can be replaced (possibly from another manufacturer). I understand that others will see it differently, e.g. "everything from one hand".
Built report: Basic rig-upgrade for tactile feedback
#1 I'd like to start a thread showing the components of a tactile upgrade I recently made to my rig. I guess I would have done things in the wrong way and/or not have thought of important stuff at all without all the info shared by the usual suspects in this forum. The idea of this post(s) is to share my upgrades with others in as much detail as possible. Not because I think the upgrades are the best possible but to make them clearly visible.
One more guy unsure about DD wheelbase...
#1 Hi guys, been playing Project Cars 2 now with a G29 for more than a year. Since last autumn (at least) I consider simracing a hobby to stay with me for years so I plan to invest in some pedal and wheelbase/wheel. Pedals will be the obvious choice of Sprints when available. Wheelbase-wise I'm almost sure about the SC2 Sport (alternative would be the Fanatec DD1). Funds exist as well as a good-enough 8020 rig. Next step then will be to start off into iRacing.
