Stacey Leasca

Stacey Leasca is an award-winning journalist and photographer. She is the cofounder of BeATravelWriter.com. Her words, photos, and videos have appeared in print or online for The Los Angeles Times, Travel + Leisure, Departures, Tripadvisor, Hotels Above Par, Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Men’s Journal, Glamour, Real Simple, Southern Living, GlobalPost, TIME, GOOD Magazine, and more. Though she now specializes in travel and lifestyle reporting, Stacey’s work has covered everything from women’s representation in media, the immigration crisis at the U.S. / Mexico border, criminal justice reform, and cannabis legalization.

Beyond writing, Stacey also worked as the social media editor for The Los Angeles Times and served as a consulting social media editor for Travel + Leisure. She regularly works on social media best practices for newsrooms and startups across the country.

Stacey was also an adjunct professor of journalism at the University of Southern California, where she taught visual journalism and feature writing.

She is also currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Universidade Católica in Lisbon, Portugal, with a focus on building resilience to misinformation in early-career journalists. She also teaches travel photography at the university.
