Stephanie Beasley’s Biography

Stephanie Beasley is a senior writer for the Chronicle of Philanthropy who writes about major donors and charitable giving trends. She was previously a staff writer at Devex where she covered the intersection of philanthropy and global development. Prior to that, she was a transportation security reporter at POLITICO.

Stephanie is a seasoned policy reporter. Since 2011, she has written about a variety of topics, including food and drug safety, transportation, climate change and tax laws. She spent nearly a decade covering Congress on Capitol Hill.

Stephanie is an alumna of Oberlin College and the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. She loves travel and has lived and worked in Brazil and Cuba.
