Being a journalist entails investigating, collecting, and presenting information as a news story. It's a life of service for the public good.

Why did you become a journalist?

I want to see the world through others' eyes. I want to tell stories that create positive change for or at least trigger it.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

No, I did not.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

A story exposing a racketeering ring at the Consulate General of Nigeria, Atlanta, Georgia.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Be resilient, observant and resourceful. And your motive for sharing a story must be to improve lives.

What's your favorite drink?

Water

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

In my study, reading a book or thinking.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

That I see the Nigerian President every day and, therefore, have so much power.
