Why did you become a journalist?
I had always known that I'd be a writer in one form or another, and journalism seemed like the best way to make a living at it.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No. My high school did not have a newspaper.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Too many to choose from. The award winner was a highlight, but also a lot of pieces I did for Macworld and Micro Publishing News.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Consider a different field. If you're determined to proceed, learn a challenging specialty such as technology, health or finance.
