Where are all the imax enhanced disc
#1 Sony promised us hundreds of imax enhanced disc by the end of 2020. Where are they? I invested in all the equipment needed for this format. Speakers, projector, receivers and their are 8 disc in this format you can purchase as of today. The imax enhanced movies I have look and sound great but I WOULD NEVER INVESTED ALL THIS MONEY IN EQUIPMENT TO WATCH 8 MOVIES. COME ON SONY WE NEED ANSWERS. Anyone else out their feel this way.

Sony taking over Disney Physical media rights
GekkoJMD Established Member #1 This sounds pretty significant if Sony now have the keys to Disney’s back catalogue. Sony does great transfers. Hopefully we finally get all the big titles on 4k that have been missing Following Netflix's exit from the DVD business and Best Buy's decision to stop selling them, Disney is turning to Sony to take over its physical media business. www.hollywoodreporter.com #2 Fingers crossed, there's a lot of titles that I'd love to see on disc.

Double Impact (88 Films) Blu-ray SE - Van Damme - due 28th August 2023
#1 I know ‘regular’ blurays don‘t tend to get their own thread these days but I just had to big up this release (particularly if you recognise the quote in my signature ). I only recently became aware that Double Impact had a more than decent release on BD stateside (but Region A only I believe) via the MVD Rewind label - kind of like a Vinegar Syndrome-ish boutique label for films that are more on the side of ‘cult’ appeal.

Region Locking on 4K UHD Blu-Rays being Introduced?
Garioch Prominent Member #1 Hi everyone. I was under the assumption that it is physically not possible to region lock a 4K UHD disc. However, I watched this video (released today) from "Films at Home." He has provided examples (only a few) of 4K UHD discs (not standard blu-rays) now being region locked. Has anyone faced this from the titles mentioned in that video? Hypothetically, if region locking 4K UHD discs was possible, then I wonder if it would work in the same way as standard blu-rays.

Frequency (U.S. Blu-ray) - Region-free or not?
#1 Frequency is a personal fave of mine which I'd love to own on BD and, guess what, it's out in the States ( Frequency Blu-ray ) but I cannot find out whether it is region-free or not.
