Die städtische Gesundheitsbehörde Semsa stufte die Luftqualität als sehr schlecht ein und riet dazu, Aktivitäten im Freien zu reduzieren und bei unvermeidbarer Belastung eine geeignete Maske zu tragen. Hohe Temperaturen, geringe Luftfeuchtigkeit und die atmosphärischen Bedingungen begünstigen nach Angaben der Behörden die Ansammlung von Schadstoffpartikeln.
