Organocatalytic Asymmetric Cyclization Reactions with γ‐Hydroxyenones
This review article provides an overview of the recent developments in organocatalytic asymmetric cyclization strategies utilizing γ-hydroxyenones. Due to the bifunctional nature of γ-hydroxyenones, it is a powerful building block for synthesizing oxygen- and nitrogen-containing heterocycles.

Highly Regio- and Diastereoselective (3 + 3)-Cycloannulation of Carbonyl Ylides and 2‑(1-Alkynyl)-2-alken-1-ones Enabled by Silver Catalysis A highly regio- and diastereoselective (3 + 3)-cycloannulation of in situ generated carbonyl ylides and 2‑(1-alkynyl)-2-alken-1-ones enabled by silver catalysis is reported. This work is the first to describe a silver catalysed synthesis of 3,4-fused furan with an oxa-bridged motif.

BBr3-Mediated Dearomatizative Spirocyclization of Biaryl Ynones: Facile Access to Spiro[5.5]dienones
BBr3-Mediated Dearomatizative Spirocyclization of Biaryl Ynones: Facile Access to Spiro[5.5]dienones BBr3 mediated dearomative spirocyclization of biaryl ynones has been reported. The direct synthesis of spiro[5.5]dienones with tri-substituted double bond is described for the first time in this paper. The scope of the reaction is broad and the spirocyclic products were obtained in moderate to good yields. You have access to this article This article has not yet been cited.

Organocatalytic Asymmetric Dearomatization Reaction for the Construction of Axially Chiral Urazole Embedded Naphthalenones
Abstract Herein we disclose a catalytic asymmetric dearomatization reaction of β-naphthols with 4-aryl-1,2,4-triazole-3,5-diones. A chiral phosphoric acid with spiro motif was found to be effective for this reaction. The chiral urazole embedded naphthalenones having both axial and central chirality were obtained in good to high yields with high diastereo- and enantioselectivities, having C-N rotational enrrgy barrier 31.54 K.Cal.mol-1 and t1/225 °C = 589.8 years.
