Association of TyG-related indices with cardiometabolic multimorbidity across early cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic syndrome stages 0–3: a prospective cohort study
Abstract Cardiovascular–kidney–metabolic (CKM) syndrome is a systemic condition characterized by interrelated cardiac, renal, and metabolic disturbances. The triglyceride–glucose (TyG) index and several of its anthropometry-based derivatives have been increasingly recognized as surrogate markers of insulin resistance and potential predictors of cardiometabolic multimorbidity (CMM). However, whether their predictive performance differs across CKM stages 0–3 remains unclear.
Serial multiple mediation of depressive symptoms, thwarted belongingness, and perceived burdensomeness in the relationship between personality traits and suicidal ideation among nursing students: A cross-sectional questionnaire survey
Suicide is a global public health concern, significantly affecting young adults across the world. Studies have shown that nursing students exhibit a higher propensity for suicidal ideation in comparison to students from other academic disciplines. Personality traits have been recognized as a significant and comparatively consistent risk factor for suicidal ideation. However, the specific pathways through which personality traits influence suicidal ideation not yet fully understood.
Dyadic Coping, Resilience and Post-Traumatic Growth in Young and Middle-Aged Coronary Heart Disease Patients and Their Spousal Caregivers: An Actor–Partner Interdependence Mediation Model
1 Introduction Coronary heart disease (CHD) is considered the leading cause of death worldwide, characterised by high morbidity and mortality, and has long posed a threat to public health (Dibben et al. 2023). Globally, the burden of CHD among young and middle-aged individuals has increased significantly in recent years. For instance, a study analysing data from 1990 to 2019 reported a marked rise in the prevalence of ischemic heart disease among adults aged 25–49 (Wu et al. 2023).
