Sumit Singh’s Biography

I’m a freelance journalist based in Delhi, India. I co-founded a digital news outlet called 'The New Bengal Gazette' and serve as its Editor-in-Chief. I’m currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Convergent Journalism from AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia. Earlier, I worked at Firstpost, a digital news channel that focuses on global news. The channel is a part of Network18 Group, India’s largest news network & media conglomerate. Prior to that, I’ve worked for a little over three years at Mojo Story as Barkha Dutt’s show and podcast Producer. I graduated from Hindu College, University of Delhi. I hail from Gopalganj, Bihar. I’m skilled in news writing, long-form reportage, video production, show production, broadcast, social media management, and research.
