Hyperfunctioning distant metastases in high-grade differentiated thyroid carcinoma arising from HRAS-mutated follicular thyroid carcinoma: a case report and literature review
Abstract Background: Hyperfunctioning distant metastases from differentiated thyroid carcinoma (DTC) are rare but increasingly reported. We report hormone-producing lung and bone metastases from an HRAS-mutated high-grade differentiated thyroid carcinoma (HGDTC) originating from follicular thyroid carcinoma (FTC), with a brief literature review. The metastases showed a marked response to radioactive iodine (RAI).

Claudin 18.2 expression profile in primary tumors and their ovarian metastases: implications for targeted therapy - BMC Cancer
Abstract Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2), a tight junction protein predominantly expressed in the normal gastric epithelium, has recently emerged as a potential therapeutic target in various solid tumors. Despite growing interest, comprehensive data on CLDN18.2 expression across primary tumors from different organs and their corresponding metastatic lesions remain limited.

Analysis of stromal PDGFR-β and α-SMA expression and their clinical relevance in brain metastases of breast cancer patients - BMC Cancer
The study subjects and clinico-radiological data The study included 50 samples from patients with BCBM who underwent craniotomy and tumor removal at the Chonnam National University Hwasun Hospital between 2004 and 2020. Only 18 out of 50 cases had a matched primary tumor sample. All the specimens were obtained from the archives of Pathology department. Experienced pathologists examined and assessed the selection of the slides and pathological parameters (SSK and KHL).
